Student Printing Draft
Enrolled Truman students receive $5 each semester from Information Technology Services, with a total of $15 if enrolled in Fall, Spring, and Summer. This amount resets to $5 every August. Additional funds can be added online here or at the McClain Cashier in MC105. Funds cannot be withdrawn from the account.
Printing Charges
- $0.08 per page – Black & White
- $0.05 per page – Black & White Duplex (Double-sided)
- $0.45 per page – Color (No Duplex option)
How to connect to a printer

For all devices: Web Printing (limited to single-sided prints):
This is the easiest way to print your documents. Follow these steps:
- Go to eop.truman.edu.
- Sign in with your Truman username and password.
- Upload your document and click “Next.” (Repeat this process to add more documents to your print queue.)
Note: If you want to print double-sided, consider using a different method below.
- For PC/Windows:
Open File Explorer, type
\\pcounter\masterqueue
in the Quick Access field, and accept the popup messages to install the printer. Once installed, the print queue will open. Select Pcounter/Masterqueue from your print options. Click here for a more detailed instruction with pictures. - For Mac:
Direct printing to the queue is not available. Options:
- Use Web Printing (limited to single-sided prints and 1 copy per print).
- Access the Virtual Desktop and print within this environment for full options.
- For Phones/Tablets:
Currently unavailable as the system is under redesign. Check back later.
How to Print from a Printer
- If you have successfully connected to the printers or have added your documents to the print queue from eop.truman.edu, follow the instructions below to print your documents:
Note: If you have multiple jobs, release color prints first. There is only one Color LaserJet printer located in PL100 lobby. - If you are using a printer with Prox ID Scanner (If you have your Truman Banner ID card):
- Swipe your Truman Banner ID card on the scanner. A beep indicates your print jobs will release.
- To manage print jobs, use a Print Release Station to select or delete specific jobs.
- If you are using a printer with Laptop Release Station (If you do not have your Truman Banner ID card):
- Log in with your Truman username and password, then select and print your desired job.
- If you see an error stating there are no print jobs in the print queue, try logging out and logging back in.
- If there are print jobs in the print queue but the documents are not printing, right-click on the print job you want to print and select “Ready.”
Note: Troubleshooting steps: - For the PL Color LaserJet:
- Swipe your Truman ID to sign in and release your color print job.
- Alternatively, use the Laptop Release Station with your Truman username and password.
- Note: The color printer is single-sided only. For special printing needs, contact Truman Printing Services.
Location of Student Printers
- PL100 Lobby:
- 2 large Black & White printers with ID Scanners.
- 1 Black & White printer with a laptop Release Station.
- 1 Color LaserJet (only student color option).
- VH2001:
1 large Black & White printer equipped with both an ID Scanner and a laptop Release Station.
- Res Hall Main Desks:
1 Black & White printer with an ID Scanner only.
- Classroom/Lab Printers:
Available in limited courses for specific students.
Printing Issues
If you encounter any issues, contact the IT Service Center at 660-785-4544 or visit PL203. Below are common issues and solutions:
- ID Card Not Working:
- Multiple beeps: Report the scanner to the IT Service Center.
- Single beep but no print: Check your funds or printer status, or ensure your ID card is updated.
- Scanner has no light or red light: Report the issue or check for a faulty ID card.
- Print Jobs Deleting Automatically: Insufficient funds. Add funds to your account here.
- Page Size Issues: Only 8.5×11-inch Letter size is supported. For other sizes, contact Truman Printing Services.
- Printer Jam: Do not attempt to remove it yourself. Contact the IT Service Center immediately.
- Other Issues: Contact the IT Service Center for assistance.
