The Web Services Department is responsible for coordinating and supporting all the various entities who contribute to the success of the University web site at large. The department works closely with the President's Office, Public Relations, Admissions, Publications, various committees, departmental webmasters, other IT Services departments and a team of very talented student workers. The department's specific duties include:
- Serving as point-of-contact for available campus web services via the IT Service Help Desk
- Administrative web programming and support including
- single page updates
- code troubleshooting
- script writing
- site redesigns
- forms building
- database applications
- consultation
- Design and maintenance of the Information Technology web site
- Providing data regarding Truman’s web presence and traffic
- Recommending and promoting adherence to appropriate policy
- Providing training for and communicating with departmental web masters.
- Working in conjunction with the Network Services department to maintain servers and related equipment associated with web services.
