04/24/2004 | Internet services will be unavailable for at most one hour between Friday midnight and Saturday 6 AM in order to perform maintenance on our Internet connection. If work goes as expected the actual Internet outage should only be a few minutes. |
04/25/2004 | The main administrative webserver, Argon, was offline Friday morning (23 April 04) after failing to come back up properly after a regularly scheduled reboot at 4:30am. A second reboot cleared the error and services were restored by approximately 6am. |

04/17/2004 | Following scheduled maintenance on the Pipeline e-mail server, an additional restart was required this morning to bring up the web interface for student e-mail. Web access was restored at 8:45am Friday. Following that, the e-mail server has been intermittently offline. Technicians are investigating the instability problems now. |

04/15/2004 | Campus Pipeline email will be down for maintenance beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2004. This maintenance is scheduled during IT Services' monthly maintenance window. The maintenance should only take a few hours. |
04/09/2004 | Truman dial-up services will be briefly unavailable tomorrow morning, Friday April 9th, from 7-8 AM due to work being done in the Truman data center. |
04/09/2004 | The administrative webserver Argon was offline this morning when it failed to come up properly after a scheduled reboot. The server was rebooted a second time which cleared the error and all services were back up by 6am. The outage was from approximatly 4:30 am to 6 am. |

04/05/2004 | Campus Pipeline was unavailable following a scheduled reboot on 4/5/04. The web portal was unavailable from approximately 4:20 - 5:15 a.m. and the email system was unavailable from approximately 4:20- 5:40 a.m. All services have been restored. |

04/01/2004 | Campus Pipeline was unavailable for a short time this afternoon. Mcaffee virus scan caused a problem with the webserver software. Campus Pipeline service was restored shortly. Student email service was unavailable when Pipeline service was restored due to complications. All services have now been restored. UPDATE: Student Email was not being delivered to the appropriate mailboxes. Mail delivery was restored about 6:00 p.m. |

04/02/2004 | We are continuing to have problems with slow Internet access. We have been and are continuing to disconnect infected systems from the network in order to attempt to maintain network functionality. The cause is a large and increasing number of computers on the Truman network that are infected with the phatbot virus and it's variations. 03/26/2004 | We are currently working with Packeteer support on fixing problems we have had with the packet shaper. There may be some momentary slow-downs during this process. |

03/19/2004 | The Truman Home Page was mistakenly set back to an old version from about 4:20 - 8:05 am on 3/19/04. This affected any pages on the site www.truman.edu. The proper home page has now been restored. |
03/16/2004 | The slow Internet problem that began at ~ 11:15 this morning has been resolved. Several persons computer systems appear to have been hacked and were being used to lanch a denial of service attack against an outside (non-Truman) computer system. The problem computer systems have been disconnected from the campus network. |
