At approximately 10:00 PM tonight (1/16/2025), the Internet Service Provider for Truman State University, MoreNET, will be switching over to a new connection. During the switchover, the Internet for the entire campus will be unavailable. Work is expected to last 5 minutes, and will not affect access to internal network resources . An update will be posted when the work has been completed, and service has been restored. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. |

The university experienced an issue impacting internet connectivity starting around 10:47 am today. The disruption was due to a configuration issue identified and resolved by our Internet Service Provider (ISP). Our team worked closely with the ISP to ensure a swift resolution and monitored the situation to verify full-service restoration at 11:15 am. We can confirm that the issue was external and unrelated to our internal systems or configuration. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your patience as we worked through this with our provider. Microsoft has reported issues with the Microsoft 365 suite, including Outlook, Exchange Online, Power Automate in Microsoft 365, Teams, and SharePoint Online. Scope of impact This issue could impact any user hosted globally; however, users are experiencing varying degrees of impact depending on how they are routed through the affected infrastructure and what action they are trying to perform. Impacted users attempting to use the functionalities outlined in the section below of this communication may be affected by this event. Preliminary root cause A recent change resulted in a portion of infrastructure not operating as expected The impacted services and their impact are as follows: Exchange Online - Users may be unable to access using the following impacted connection methods: Outlook on the web, Outlook desktop client, Representational State Transfer (REST), Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) - Users may experience mail transport delays. Microsoft Teams - Users are unable to create or update Virtual Events, including webinars and Town Halls. - Users may be unable to access or modify their calendar in Microsoft Teams. This would include loading calendar, viewing meetings, creating/updating meetings and joining meetings. - Users are unable to create chat, add users and create or edited meetings. - Users are unable to create or modify new teams and channels. - Users may be unable to update presence. - Users may be unable to use the search function. - Users may not see updated list of files and links failing to load within the Chat shared tab. Power Automate for Desktop - Users may experience errors running flows that utilize cloud connectors. SharePoint Online - Users may be unable to use the search feature within Microsoft Bookings - Users may be unable to access their bookings. Microsoft Viva Engage - Users may be unable to load topics in feeds and threads. - Users may see searches or autocomplete fail for topic experiences. - Users’ Microsoft Teams Q&A experiences may not show user names. - Users may not be able to load their home feed |

Banner services & all Banner integrated services are now available ---------------- Banner Upgrade The Banner system is scheduled for maintenance upgrades on Sunday, November 17th. Banner and all Banner integrated, dependent services including the Banner links (Tools) in TruView will be unavailable starting at 4am Sunday morning, November 17th, and will remain down until the completion of the upgrade. Please plan for Banner services to be unavailable most of the day. Upon completion of the upgrade, a Service Note will be posted to announce services are available.
Note: Brightspace services will not be impacted by the Banner upgrade and will be available as usual.

At approximately 8:00 am today, ITS was alerted of an issue with accessing resources externally and internally. The resources affected are, but not limited to, Microsoft 365 and external websites. Not all users are affected. ITS is aware of the issue and is working to resolve it. An update will be posted when service has been restored. *UPDATE* - The server is now stable and sites are online. All Wordpress websites, except our main www.truman.edu, are experiencing issues due to the server issues. Work is in process to determine and resolve the issues to restablize the server. An update will be posted when we have more information. |

**Update*** - The maintenance has been completed and these resources are available again. At approximately 10:30 PM tonight, ITS will be performing maintenance on the Truman SQL Server, and Truman File Server. This will affect access to the FAC/STAFF and Student W and Y Drives, and the Truman websites. During this time, connectivity to these servers may be sporadically down. ITS is expecting a downtime of 2 hours, but maintenance may be completed before then. An update will be posted when these servers are online again, and maintenance has been completed. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. |
