| 03/25/2005 | MOREnet Security has been made aware of new DNS cache poisoning attacks against Windows DNS servers. Currently the poisoning attacks are redirecting users to a website that sells generic prescription drugs, but future attacks with different variables are possible. We are currently blocking traffic for two of the responsible malicious DNS servers at the network core. The IP addresses of these servers are 222.47.183.18 and 222.47.122.203. |

| 03/11/2005 | There are a some new viruses that propagate via .rar files. RAR is normally a compressed file format. Rar is logically similar to Zip compressed files. If you receive a .rar file as an email attachment don't open it unless you know what it is. We will check with our email antivirus software vendor about adding .rar antivirus scanning to their product. |
| 03/06/2005 | We have received several reports of Internet users who are not able to access Truman web sites. One possible cause is what appears to be a possible Internet DNS cache poisoning attack (http://isc.sans.org/diary.php). Our DNS servers were also receiving heavy traffic from several remote sites. We are continuing to investigate this issue. |
