04/08/2005 ruby, the Banner Web Services server, has been experiencing repeated problems with network connectivity. This morning ruby was down from approximately 8:00am to 8:30am to replace the bad nic.
04/06/2005 around 10:30am (Wed morning) Ruby quit communicating with the network, Jim noticed it was reporting only being connected at 10mg, he change it to 100mg and restarted it, services were restored
04/05/2005 a few minutes before 6pm ruby became inaccessible, services were restarted (didn't help), it had somehow been dropped from the network .. restarted the server and it came back up
04/05/2005 There seems to be a problem releasing quarantined spam using the daily Quarantined Spam email. We have sent a support request and data to the vendor.

Update: Quarantined SPAM may now be released using the daily Quarantined Spam email. This was corrected in the evening 4/5/05.

04/06/2005 The SQL Server will be rebooted this evening at 10:00 p.m. due to performance issues. All dynamic websites including TruView, the Truman homepage, the ITS site, Admissions, Athletics, and many others will be affected by this restart. The outage should last approximately 5 minutes.
04/05/2005 TruView will be briefly unavailable as an update is applied at approximately 9:00 a.m. this morning. This update is being done outside of our scheduled maintenance window in an attempt to resolve issues prior to registration today at 5:00.
04/04/2005 The problem with slow email processing due to an on-campus system sending SPAM has been resolved. However, we appear to have been temporarily blacklisted by Yahoo as a result of the SPAM that was sent. All email from Truman to Yahoo accounts is currently being rejected.
04/01/2005 TruView was unavailable from approximately 2:10 a.m. until 2:20 a.m. as IT Services and SunGard SCT continue to tweak the new authentication system.
04/01/2005 During the scheduled maintenance window on Friday night, May 12th, the Exchange server will be shut down for maintenance and installation of critical security patches at 8:00PM. It is expected that this maintenance will only take several hours; however, it could take much longer. In any case, the server is expected to be back up before noon on Saturday. During this time, incoming email will be queued for delivery when services are restored.
