We have been working with campus groups and departments for almost a year on migrating network printing from TP1 to Krypton. If you have any trouble printing to network printers after TP1 is shut down on Thursday night please contact the ITS HelpDesk for assistance.
06/27/2005 There was a brief Internet outage for some computer systems this afternoon around 3:30 PM. The cause of the problem has been identified and corrected.
06/27/2005 All IT services (email and T: drives) are now back up. The problems have been identified and corrected.
06/24/2005 TruView will be restarted at 10:00 p.m. on 6/24/05. We have had stability problems with TruView since a recent upgrade to the software. Truman is one of a few schools in country running this version and the only school having this problem that we are aware of. We have been working with SunGard SCT to find the cause of the problem, which is difficult to do since we cannot recreate the problem on demand. We hope to have a fix in place, and will continue to do our best to keep the system running during this period. Tonight's restart will implement a few configuration changes that will hopefully give us more information regarding the cause of the problem.
06/24/2005 TruView was unavailable from approximately 11:30 p.m. on 6/23/05 until approximately 7:45 a.m. on 6/24/05. We are still working with SunGard SCT to find a fix for this problem.
06/21/2005 TruView will be restarted at 10:00 p.m. on 6/21/05 to enable more logging. We are still working with SunGard SCT to track down the problem that has been occurring.
06/20/2005 TruView was unavailable from approximately 8:50 to 9:00 a.m. on 6/20/05. This is the same problem that has been recurring for the past few weeks. We were able to provide SunGard SCT with more information on the cause of the problem this morning.
06/17/2005 The problem with email has been corrected. Email delivery will still be delayed for some time due to the volume of messages that are queued up to deliver (over 11,000).
06/16/2005 TruView will be restarted at approximately 10:00 p.m. on 6/16/05. This restart is during the monthly scheduled maintenance window. The restart will apply a configuration change to increase logging so that SunGard SCT can find the cause of our recurring stability problem.
06/16/2005 TruView was unavailable from approximately 11:45 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on 6/15/05. IT Services has provided additional information to SunGard SCT and is still awaiting a fix for this issue.
06/14/2005 TruView was unavailable from approximately 9:55 to 10:10 p.m. on 6/13/05. We are still waiting for a fix from SunGard SCT.
06/11/2005 TruView was unavailable from 9:30 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. on 6/11/2005. This is the same problem that has been occurring for the last few weeks. We are waiting for a fix from SunGard SCT.
06/16/2005 UPDATE: The cause of the issue with screen resolution changes was from a Dell video driver that was listed in Windows Automatic Update as 'critiical', causing systems to update the video driver automatically. Microsoft corrected their mistake the same day taking the driver out of 'critical' status. This issue should now be resolved.
-------
The are a number of reports that users screen resolution's have changed to their highest settings without the user changing it. We are currently looking into the issue. The user can change the setting back to their desired setting.
06/08/2005 TruView was unavailable from approximately 6:00 p.m. to 6:20 p.m. on 6/8/05. ITS was able to provide information to SunGard SCT which will help find the resolution of this problem.
06/08/2005 Dial-up services will be briefly unavailable for a few minutes this afternoon when a hardware component is replaced.
06/07/2005 TruView was unavailable from approximately 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on 5/6/05. This is the same problem that has been occurring for the past few days. SunGard SCT has opened a product defect and is working on a solution for the problem.
06/05/2005 TruView was unavailable from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on 6/4/05. This is the same problem we have had for the past week. We are continuing to work with SunGard SCT to resolve the issue.
06/03/2005 ruby services were down this morning. Preliminary checking indicates they failed to start properly following reboot. Additional research will be conducted.
06/01/2005 In an effort to track down the problem that has caused recent outages of TruView, the TruView web server will be restarted at approximately 10:00 p.m. on 6/1/2005 to increase error logging. The outage should be very brief.
06/02/2005 This morning we're working with SBC to investigate a possible recommended firmware update to the new dial-up system. There may be outages in dial up service this morning while this review is underway.
06/01/2005 TruView was unavailable from approximately 9:35 p.m. to 10:55 p.m. on 5/31/05. This appeared to be the same problem as occurred on 5/29. IT Services is working with SunGard SCT to fix the problem.
05/31/2005 TruView was unavailable from approximately 9:20 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. on 5/29/05. A technical difficulties error was displayed when the server was accessed during that time period. The cause of the outage is being investigated.
