The TruView vendor will be performing maintenance on their systems impacting our TruView portal. Maintenance is scheduled to begin at 12:00am (midnight) on the morning of Monday, February 14th. Up to 10 minutes of downtime is expected. |

At approximately, 2:05pm today we received an alert that services were unavailable which provide the mechanism for logging into a number of campus services. Services have been restarted that had failed and all services should have been available by approximately 2:25pm. We are researching the source of this issue.

UPDATE: COMPLETE: Blackboard upgrade is complete and all services should now be available. ------- UPDATE: We've run into issues with the upgrade. We are working with Blackboard support. We appreciate your patience. ------- The Blackboard Learn course management system is scheduled for upgrade on January 3rd with Blackboard services being unavailable beginning at 6am. As always, we will do our best to minimize the downtime of this critical system. For planning purposes, please plan for Blackboard to be unavailable for the morning. A Service Note will be posted when Blackboard is available for use. |

The vendor was able to find the missed configuration update needed. Tools are now working in TruView. ------ Currently links to Tools from the Tools section in TruView are bringing up Announcements in TruView instead of the needed Tools page. We believe this to be a residual issue post maintenance work on TruView from last evening. We are working with our vendor on resolution. Shortcuts and Pages are working if you can determine how to navigate to the link you need via Pages. |

***Update*** - Socket believes they have resolved their call routing issue and that phone services should be functioning properly now. We've performed several tests on our side to confirm calls are working properly, but if you continue to have problems, please report them to the help desk so that we can further investigate.
At approximately 8:30 am today, ITS was made aware of an issue with the Truman Campus Phone service. The Telephony provider, Socket, identified an issue with routing that is disrupting service and is actively working to resolve the problem. No Estimated Time to Resolution has been given at this time. An update will be posted when the service has been restored. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience. |

*UPDATE* - ITS has finished the maintenance on the Truman Fileserver, and service has been restored. ITS will be perfroming maintenance on the main Truman Fileserver, which hosts the Faculty/Staff W and Y drives, as well as the Student Y and U drives, from 3:30 -5:00 am on Friday, Nov. 19, 2021. During the maintenance, all access to the Fileserver will be down. The maintenance should not take morenthen 60 minutes, but may take longer. An update will be posted once service is restored. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. |

At approximately 11:40, we received multiple reports of TruView being unaviailable. We opened a support case with our vendor and learned that our TruView portal outage was part of a bigger Google related outage affecting a number of large organizations (including Spotify, Home Depot, CBS News, etc.). Google has restored their services and TruView services are now available.

The contents of this email are as follows: Your e-mail password expires in 2 days to retain e-mail password and details, <Link Reoved> to update immediately This email is not a legitmate email from ITS, or Truman State University, and should be deleted completely. * 2nd Update * The MOREnet Internet link is back up. Normal Internet service has been restored. * Update * Our MOREnet Internet link is down. MOREnet engineers are working on the problem. Some Internet traffic is being rerouted through our second Internet provider, Bluebird, but this rerouting is not working 100% correctly. Wireless devices are working better than wired devices. We are currently experiencing several network outages. Technicians are working on the problem and will restore services as soon as possible. |

*Friday Update* We have now corrected the printing problem on many PCs, and have printing solutions for Macs. Truman owned Macs we can fix, student owned Macs can print with the View system or the eop.truman.edu web page. We are continuing to work on restoring printing services to the remaining computers as quickly as possible. If you are experiencing printing issues and have not already contacted the IT Service Center at x4544 please contact us to let us know. *3rd UPDATE* The printing outages were caused by Microsoft's recent Windows updates. Windows 10 PCs need updated to release level 21H1. We are updating Truman PCs as quickly as possible. The Pcounter Release Stations were fixed on Saturday. Mac systems are having difficulty connecting to the Windows print servers, we are workig on the problem. Students who use Macs can go to http://eop.truman.edu, upload the document to print, and print that way. *2nd UPDATE* ITS has deteremined that the printing issue appears to be on individual PCs, and not on the Truman Print Servers. ITS is working on solutions, and will keep you updated as to when the issue is resolved. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your continued patience and understanding. *UPDATE* This issue is affecting both Faculty/Staff, and Students, campus wide. ITS is looking into the issue and will update when resolved. An issue with printing for Faculty and Staff was reported at 8:30 am today. ITS is investigating the issue. On July 22nd, survey.truman.edu will not be available starting at 6 a.m. while upgrading the system from version 6 to version 7. The survey tool will remain down until the completion of the upgrade, and users should plan for the survey tool to be unavailable all day. |

We were able to resolve the Banner users issues and believe all services are now working as expected ---------- Following some network infrastructure issues this morning, we have a number of Banner users that cannot use Banner. We are working on this now and hope to restore full access as quickly as we can. We'll update this service note when we have more information. |

At approximately 11:45 AM this morning, ITS was made aware of a number of network servers that were offline due to an issue with Truman's Virtual netowrk. This outage included services to the Network Fileserver, Network Authenticaion, and www.truman.edu, as well as other. The cause was identified by ITS, resolved around 12:10 PM. Update: Banner upgrade is complete and services are now available ----------- Banner Upgrade The Banner system is scheduled for a major upgrade on Monday, July 5th. Banner and all Banner integrated, dependent services including the Banner links in TruView and Truman Portal will be unavailable starting at 4am Monday morning, July 5th, and will remain down until the completion of the upgrade. Please plan for Banner services to be unavailable all day. A Service Note will be posted to announce services are available upon completion of the upgrade.
