The virtual desktop and Data Science environments have been restored. At approximately 3:00 PM yesterday, (August 1. 2022) ITS was made aware of an issue with the VMWare Virtual Desktop environment that affects both Student and Datascience Virtual Desktops. Currently, these desktops are partially down, and performance has been affected. ITS is currently working on the issue, with no estimated time until full resolution. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience. |

Maintenance is complete and Banner and DegreeWork services are now available. ------ We will be completing maintenance on the infrastructure that hosts Banner and DegreeWorks. The maintenance will require a service outage for these systems.
All Banner and DegreeWorks environments and integrated, dependent services including the Banner links (Tools) in TruView will be unavailable starting at 4am on Sunday, July 31st, to complete an infrastructure upgrade to the storage upon which it operates. Please plan for Banner services to be unavailable until at least early afternoon.
A Service Note will be posted when the services have been restored.
Note: Blackboard services will not be impacted by the Banner upgrade and will be available as usual. |

*UPDATE* - As of 8:30 PM, the maintnenance on the Truman Server has been completed, and services have been restored. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.
At approximately 8:00 PM tonight, ITS will be performing maintenance on the Truman Fileserver. During this time, all Student and Faculty/Staff Y drives, W Drives and Student U Drives may be unavailable. Maintenance should only last 30 minutes, and an update will be posted when services are restored. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. |

Banner Admin Pages stopped allowing new connections. This stopped all new logins to Banner Admin Pages. The Admin Pages were restarted to clear the connection pool. Services to Banner Admin Pages are now available. |

The connectivity issue with Banner resources has been resolved and services restored.
Banner and Banner related services (ssb links in TruView) very slow and occasionally unavailable. We are working with our hardware vendor to identify the problem and will post as soon as we have actionable information. |

At approximately 4:12 PM today, June 29th, 2022, ITS was notified of a power surge that affected numerous neetwork switches across campus. During this surge, multiple network devices in multiple buildings went offline. As of 4:40 PM, it appears that most, if not all of the systems are back online. We experienced a power surge this afternoon in several buildings that disrupted network services. The outage was brief and network services are coming back online in those buildings. We are working to verify all equipment successfully came back online in all affected buildings. Thank you |

At approximately 11:05am, the Blackboard database server became unresponsive to network requests until 11:20am. Blackboard services were unavailable during this time. We are reviewing logs and researching for the source of the issue. All Blackboard services should now be available. |

Banner services were unavailble from the normal shutdown for backups time of 4:00am until approximately 7:45am due to issues with our automated backup system. We researching the issues with the backup system to try to avoid this happening again. All Banner services should now be available. |

All Blackboard servers are now available. ---- The Blackboard Learn course management system is scheduled for upgrade on Tuesday, May 17th with Blackboard services being unavailable beginning at 4am. It will be upgraded to the latest stable, tested service pack: Blackboard 3900.32 Release. As always, we will do our best to minimize the downtime of this critical system. For planning purposes, please plan for Blackboard to be unavailable for the morning. |
