02/22/2007 | In 2005, the United States government passed the Energy Policy Act of 2005, which changes the start and end dates for Daylight Saving Time (DST) in spring 2007.
This may impact your Outlook Calendar appointments between March 11 and April 1. Microsoft is furiously scrambling to patch its products to properly handle these changes. ITS currently has no assurances to how smoothly this will happen. There is a possibility your appointments in this time period will shift an hour from when you recorded them. To protect your sanity in the face of potential disaster, we recommend you include the starting time in the subject line of all your Outlook appointments between Mar 11 and April 1. That way, in case there is a problem, it can be manually corrected with less hassle. We are working with Microsoft and will share more news with you as we receive it. If you have any questions, please call the Help Desk at x4544. |
