| 12/13/2010 | There was an issue this morning with printing from Banner. This outage occurred from 10:04 am until 10:52 am. This outage effected printing from Banner to all campus printers. the issue was resolved as of 10:52 am, and printing services were restored. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. |
| 12/09/2010 | We have received the following notice from our ISP, MORENet, regarding our internet connection:
Missouri Network Alliance technicians will be performing maintenance on equipment in the Kansas City area on Wednesday, December 8 and Thursday, December 9, between 12:01 a.m. and 6a.m. A 10 minute to 6 hour outage may be experienced. During this time the University internet connection may be unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for your patience. |
| 12/03/2010 | Banner was unavailable from approx. 11:45am to 11:55am. A nightly backup process failed to complete cleanly and was degrading performance. All services are available as of 11:55am. |
| 11/29/2010 | TruView will be restarted at 10:30AM on Monday, November 29 in order to integrate the newly upgraded DegreeWorks. The restart is expected to take about 5 minutes. |
| 11/29/2010 | Blackboard services have been restored. The issue was the Blackboard database archiver was out of space and this was resolved. |
| 12/03/2010 | The Internet upgrade is complete.
Since early in the semester, ITS has been pursuing options for providing faster Internet access. We have successfully increased our Internet service 150% from 100Mbps to 250Mbps. This increase will improve the quality of all Internet activities used by Truman students, faculty and staff. Thank you for your patience as we worked through the details of the upgrade. | 11/26/2010 | Since early in the semester, ITS has been pursuing options for providing faster Internet access. We are pleased to announce we have successfully negotiated a 150% increase in Internet service from 100Mbps to 250Mbps. This increase will improve the quality of all Internet activities used by Truman students, faculty and staff.
The order for faster Internet has been placed! It will take a few days for the order to be processed and our Internet service upgraded but we expect to have the upgrade fully completed when everyone returns from Thanksgiving break. | 11/18/2010 | At approximately 8:15 am this morning, a software issue on the Server (\\TP1) that handles the Student Printing necessitated a reboot of \\TP1. Student Printing services were down from approximately 8:35 until approximately 8:45. All printing services should be back online and functioning. If you have any issue with printing or with your Student Printing Account, please contact the ITS Service Center at 660-785-4544. We apologize for any inconvenience, and appreciate your patience and understanding. |
| 11/17/2010 | An issue was preventing the University Lecture Capture System (Panopto) from processing new recorded sessions. ITS has worked with the vendor to correct this problem and all currently queued sessions are now being processed. When this processing is complete all recent sessions should be available. Please contact the IT Service Center at x4544 if you have any questions. |
| 11/16/2010 | At approximately 2:57 PM today, the Student Print Server \\TP1 experienced a system lockup and needed to be shutdown, temporarily interrupting student printing. this server was successfully rebooted and was back online as of 3:10 PM today. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. |
| 11/12/2010 | As of 6:33 PM, the Faculty/Staff email is back online and functioning correctly. Everyone should be receiving new emails, as well as emails sent received during the maintenance outage. If you have any issues with sending or receiving emails, please contact the ITS Service x4544.

| 11/12/2010 | The faculty/staff email system will be temporarily unavailable at 6:00PM for emergency maintenance. Full email service will be restored by 6:15PM. During this time messages will be queued and delivered when the system is again available. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience. |
| 11/29/2010 | We received a software fix from the vendor to correct the USB flash drive problem in the computer labs. We are now installing the solution on all 700+ lab PCs (this may take several days). When all systems have been updated USB flash drives should work in the computer labs. |
| 11/08/2010 | Student network accounts were changed to no longer use a Windows Active Directory mandatory profile. This change was necessary to address an intermittent problem with student logons in the computer labs. Student logon times in the computer labs should now be significantly faster. |
| 11/02/2010 | Update: Internet services are now back online. MORENet experienced a fiber cut on a provider network. The University is currently being routed on an alternate path. Service was restored at 7:15PM.
