11/12/2010 As of 6:33 PM, the Faculty/Staff email is back online and functioning correctly. Everyone should be receiving new emails, as well as emails sent received during the maintenance outage. If you have any issues with sending or receiving emails, please contact the ITS Service x4544.

11/12/2010 The faculty/staff email system will be temporarily unavailable at 6:00PM for emergency maintenance. Full email service will be restored by 6:15PM. During this time messages will be queued and delivered when the system is again available. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
11/29/2010 We received a software fix from the vendor to correct the USB flash drive problem in the computer labs. We are now installing the solution on all 700+ lab PCs (this may take several days). When all systems have been updated USB flash drives should work in the computer labs.
11/08/2010 Student network accounts were changed to no longer use a Windows Active Directory mandatory profile. This change was necessary to address an intermittent problem with student logons in the computer labs. Student logon times in the computer labs should now be significantly faster.
11/02/2010 Update: Internet services are now back online. MORENet experienced a fiber cut on a provider network. The University is currently being routed on an alternate path. Service was restored at 7:15PM.

Original Service Note:
The University's internet service provider, MORENet, is currently experiencing an outage. Due to this outage the University’s internet connection is offline. This outage started at 6:09PM. We've notified MORENet and they are currently working on the issue. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

11/01/2010 Several Truman web sites experienced problems early this morning due to a server problem. The problem are being addressed and services restored.
10/17/2010 Self-Service Banner, including Banner links in TruView, were unavailable - services were restored at approximately 2:15pm.
10/16/2010 The student print server was briefly unavailable Saturday morning. The problem has been corrected and normal services restored.
10/16/2010 The faculty / staff email system was briefly unavailable Saturday morning. The problem has been resolved and email service restored.
10/13/2010 The faculty / staff email system is back up and available for use.
10/08/2010 TruView was unavailable from approximately 10:35 to 10:45 a.m. on 10/8/2010.
09/30/2010 The scheduled maintenance for the student print server has been completed. All printers should be available for printing. If you have any issues with printing to any of the Truman Lab and Res-Hall printers, please contact the ITS Service Center at 660-785-4544
09/30/2010 Thursday evening at 9:00PM, during the weekly ITS maintenance window, ITS will be performing maintenance on the University student printing system. During this time student printing will be temporarily unavailable.
09/29/2010 TruView was down from approximately 12:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. on 9/29/2010.
09/28/2010 The University wireless network was temporarily unavailable this morning due to an issue with the authentication system. The issue has been corrected and full wireless service has been restored.
09/27/2010 We have received the following notice from our ISP -- MOREnet network engineers will be performing maintenance on equipment in Kansas City on Sunday, September 26, 2010 between 12:01 and 1:00 am. Truman State University will experience a short internet outage during this time.
09/23/2010 We have been notified the Internet problem is larger than just Truman, several MOREnet sites in our area are also having similar issues.

We are currently experiencing problems with Internet service. We have reported the issue to MOREnet, our Internet provider. Normal Internet services will be restored as soon as possible.
09/20/2010 A portion of the University Cable TV system will be temporarily offline this morning as connections are re-routed due to impending maintenance.
09/19/2010 The personal web server (xenon) was offline for a second period of time this afternoon. The system has now been migrated to a new physical host and full service has been restored.
09/17/2010 UPDATE: Our connection to the MORENet state network and the Internet has been rerouted through Columbia and the University is now back online.

MORENet's network provider, MNA, experienced system failures in the Kansas City area. The internet connection was unavailable from 1:55PM to 2:45PM.

09/15/2010 Faculty/Staff email was temporarily unavailable following a system restart this morning. Full service was restored at 8:05AM.
09/18/2010 The KBIA PBS radio station went down over the weekend due to an equipment failure in Baldwin Delaney. Temporary repairs have been made and KBIA is now back on-line. Full repairs will be completed when replacement parts arrive.
09/10/2010 TruView was unavailable from approximately 10:05 p.m. until 10:25 p.m. on 9/9/2010 due to a log file that reached the maximum size. All services have been restored and steps are being taken to prevent this problem from occurring again.
09/10/2010 There are several known problems with the Hawkes software. We have been reporting the problems to the Hawkes company and working with their technical support. Late yesterday Hawkes sent us a new updated version of their software. We are testing the new software and if it works we will make it available as soon as possible.
09/05/2010 There is a known problem with the Hawkes software in the computer labs. We are working with the vendor to correct the issue as soon as possible. Here is a temporary solution to make the software work:

1. Logon to the lab computer
2. Under "My Documents", create a folder called "Hawkes Learning Systems"
3. In the "Hawkes Learning Systems" folder, make a folder named "PRC"
4. In the PRC folder, make the following six folders:
Bookmark
Certificates
Config
Reports
Upload
WebTest

Once the above folders exist within "My Documents", the program will run properly.
