09/05/2010 | There is a known problem with the Hawkes software in the computer labs. We are working with the vendor to correct the issue as soon as possible. Here is a temporary solution to make the software work:
1. Logon to the lab computer Once the above folders exist within "My Documents", the program will run properly. |
08/31/2010 | Internet services were restored @ ~ 1:45 AM --------- Shortly after midnight Monday we lost Internet access. We have checked all Truman equipment and the outage appears to be on the MOREnet state network. We have opened a P1 ticket with MOREnet and are waiting for a response. Internet service will be restored as soon as possible. |
08/24/2010 | Some functionality on department and office websites was degraded beginning mid afternoon. The primary web server has now been restarted and full functionality has been restored. |
08/23/2010 | A portion of the virtual desktops were briefly unavailable at 5:00PM this evening due to damaged hardware. Full service to the virtual desktops has now been restored. |
08/23/2010 | The Banner forms server is having sporadic issues that result in disconnecting users. We have a replacement server in place and are in the final stages of testing it. We are switching over to the new server. Banner forms users need to log out and then back in using the url: http://banner.truman.edu

08/17/2010 | TruView will be unavailable from 11:00PM to 12:00AM on 8/17/2010 for an upgrade. |
08/15/2010 | MOREnet technicians will be performing maintenance on equipment in Columbia, Kansas City, Springfield and St. Louis on Sunday, August 15, 2010, between 12:01 and 6am. Truman users may experience a brief internet outage as traffic reroutes in the network.

08/10/2010 | A section of the Violette Hall network was unavailable from 9:08AM to 9:11AM and 10:45AM to 10:48AM due to failed networking equipment. The equipment has been replaced and full network service has now been restored. |
08/10/2010 | Banner was unavailable from approximately 5:30am to 8:00am. The archive log file system ran out of space. The space issue was resolved and all Banner services are now available. |
08/09/2010 | The main administrative web server will be restarted at 12:00 noon on 8/9/2010 in an attempt to resolve some performance issues. |
08/10/2010 | UPDATE: Networking service has been restored to the south portion of BNB. Networking services to the north side of the building are still offline due to the power outage. |
07/29/2010 | Thursday evening at 8:00PM, during the weekly ITS maintenance window, ITS will be performing maintenance on the University e-mail system. During this time users will continue to have full access to their e-mail systems, but incoming message delivery may be delayed by five to fifteen minutes. This maintenance should be complete by 9:00PM. |
07/28/2010 | UPDATE: The internet connection has been restored. The issue was caused by a fiber cut on the MORENet network. We have been temporarily re-routed around the damaged section of the network. |
07/28/2010 | Some telephones in West Campus Suites are out of service due to utility damage. Full telephone service to WCS will be restored as soon as possible. |
07/23/2010 | Tonight, during the ITS weekly maintenance window, several key IT resources will be offline for maintenance.
TruView will be unavailable from 10:00PM to 12:00AM. Some resources can still be accessed directly. Student email will continue to be accessible from http://gmail.truman.edu and Blackboard will be accessible from https://bb-learn.truman.edu. Network drives will be unavailable from 10:00PM to 12:00AM. These drives include the W:, Y:, V:, and U: drive. Please close and save any files before this maintenance period starts. The University Lecture Capture System, Panopto, will be offline from 10:00PM to 12:00AM for maintenance. During this time existing content playback will be offline and new content can not be added to the system. Finally, Google has informed us of their plans to perform maintenance on Google Sync for Student Email for approximately 4 hours, starting at 8:00PM and ending around 12:00AM. During this maintenance period, email messages for students, calendar events, or contacts won’t be synchronized to and from the applications on your mobile device. |
07/22/2010 | A select number of IT resources were affected by a campus wide power outage. The outage occurred at 11:02AM. Full power was restored at 11:06AM.
Networking services in select areas of Magruder Hall were unavailable until 11:49AM due to a software configuration issue. Networking services in the Power Plant were unavailable until 1:34AM due to damaged networking hardware. Cable TV services were unavailable until 1:30 due to power issues in the SUB. Also currently channels 3 (KTVO, 4 (KHQA), 7 (WGEM), 18 and 25 (KYOU) are offline due to damaged equipment. |
07/20/2010 | The servers for student organization websites and blogs.truman.edu will be down for a few hours starting at 12:00 a.m. on 7/20/2010. We are performing some emergency maintenance following a hardware problem that occurred on 7/19/2010. The servers should be back online by 8:00 a.m. at the latest. |
07/19/2010 | A select number of IT resources, including student email (new logons) and some websites were temporarily unavailable from 12:30 to 1:15. All services have now been restored. |
07/20/2010 | Missouri Network Alliance technicians will be performing maintenance on equipment in the Kansas City area on Tuesday, July 20, between 1:00 a.m. and 6 a.m. Truman users will experience an internet access outage during this time period.
