06/25/2012 There is a roof leak above the networking equipment that provides service to the north side of Baldwin Hall. All network services are currently online but could potentially be shutdown if the risk of water damage or electrical shorts persist.
06/13/2012 TruView was unavailable from approximately 5:00 a.m. to 7:20 a.m. on 6/13/2012 due to a failed automatic restart. All services were restored at 7:20 a.m.
06/08/2012 We completed the repair work to the DegreeWorks server. All services are now available.

The DegreeWorks server has reported a hardware failure on one of its drives. We are taking the system down immediately to run additional tests and replace the drive if needed. An updated Service Note will be sent out when the system is available again.

06/08/2012 ITS and Panopto technicians have identified the issue with viewer access problems to Panopto content. Content copied into a new course from a previous course was not immediately available to the students in the new course. A solution is being implemented. Please report any continuing errors or problems with viewing Panopto content to the ITS Service Center.
06/06/2012 ITS has identified a problem with viewer access to Panopto videos recorded/copied/moved from previous courses. We have an open case with Panopto and are investigating the problem. The case has been escalated to the Panopto development team which is not available till 10:30am CDT. We will post an update following that.
06/05/2012 The issue with Faculty/Staff printing has been resolved, and Faculty/Staff printing services have been restored. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.
06/05/2012 An issue with the printing services for Faculty/Staff members has been detected. During this time, printing services may not be available. Technicians are aware of the issue, and are working to resolve it with no estimated time to resolution. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and we apologize for any inconvenience.
06/05/2012 The issue with DegreeWorks has been resolved and the system is available now. A required library file was moved as part of the DegreeWorks 4.1.0 upgrade test build. We've resolved this conflict with the two environments.

DegreeWorks is currently down due to a system service failure. We are working with the vendor on problem resolution and will restore service as soon as possible.

04/20/2012 This work has been rescheduled to the 20th:

MNA/Bluebird technicians will be performing maintenance on the Kansas City/Columbia loop on Thursday, April 20th between 12:01 and 6am. Maintenance is expected to last two hours. The University may see an internet outage during this window; however, traffic should reroute.

04/16/2012 A selection of services were unavailable this morning following a power issue. Power has been restored and services should be back online.
04/13/2012 On Saturday, April 14, we will be completing some maintenance work in the Data Center. As part of that work, the Banner Forms server and the Banner Self-Service server will be unavailable. Access to Banner Forms and all Banner Self-Service services (accessed through links in TruView) will be unavailable from 7am to approximately 8am.
04/13/2012 On Friday, April 13th, at 5pm, Blackboard will be taken down for maintenance. We will be applying a required patch. The maintenance is expected to take approximately 30 minutes.
04/14/2012 Due to server maintenance several software applications in the computer labs will be temporarily unavailable Saturday morning from 7 AM - 8 AM.
04/15/2012 The east section of the McClain Hall Network will be offline for maintenance this Saturday, April 14th, from 7:00AM to 4:00PM.

During this time access to the wired and wireless network on the east side of the building will be unavailable. Network service will be available to the west side of the building. All servers and services (TruView, E-Mail, Internet Access) will be available to the rest of campus during this time.

04/11/2012 Banner Forms server issued have been resolved and the Banner Forms services are available for use.
04/11/2012 Faculty/Staff email was unavailable following a system update. Full email service was restored at 8:20AM.
04/10/2012 TruView was having performance issues and had to be restarted at about 3:40 p.m. on 4/10/2012. All services appear to be restored.
04/11/2012 We received the following notice from MORENet:

MNA/Bluebird technicians will be performing maintenance on the Kansas City to Columbia loop on Wednesday, April 11 between 12:01 and 6am. Maintenance is not expected to last more than two hours. The University may see an internet outage during this window; however, traffic should reroute.

04/10/2012 We received the following notice from MORENet/l

04/04/2012 The University internet service is having difficulties to an issue with our internet service provider. The issue has been reported and will be addressed as soon as possible. The connection may be intermittent until the issue is resolved.
04/01/2012 TruView was restarted at approximately 10:35 p.m. on 4/1/2012 due to performance issues.
03/30/2012 Banner and Banner integrated services and DegreeWorks are now available again.

Special thanks to the electricians for getting the rewiring done so quickly.

03/30/2012 Due to a failure with one of the main UPSs in the Data Center, Banner and all Banner integrated services that require the Banner system including the banner links in TruView and DegreeWorks are currently down. The electricians are in the process of completing wiring updates to allow us to transition from the failed UPS to another main UPS. It is expected that it will take approximately two hours to complete the work. Updates will be provided when additional information is available.
03/30/2012 The power unit that protects several servers in the Data Center experiencing problems and is being looked at. It is possible that some systems, including Banner, may be taken down in the next few minutes while the problem is investigated.
03/26/2012 TruView was having performance issues and had to be restarted at about 2:45 p.m. on 3/26/2012. All services appear to be restored.
