08/23/2012 | Between 2:30pm and 3:00pm today (Aug. 23) several Banner links and channels in TruView began failing. Services were restarted serveral times. All links are currently functioning, while the Academic Profile and My Account channels are still failing. ITS will work with the vendor to restore these channels. |
08/23/2012 | Tonight at 8:00 PM, during the regularly scheduled ITS Maintenance window, Internet service and a few select systems will be unavailable for five to ten minutes.
These select systems include: Full service should be restored by 8:15PM. |
08/21/2012 | The new AV Control Systems in the classrooms will receive an update and restart at approximately 9:30 on 8/21/2012. This is being done outside the regular maintenance window since classes are not yet in session. |
08/17/2012 | This Thursday evening, 16 August 2012, between 5:30 and 8pm we will be performing maintenance and upgrades on the Panopto servers. This work is expected to be transparent, however intermittent outages during the maintenance window could occur. If you are recording and uploading sessions during this time and find that any of those recordings later are not available in Blackboard, please enter a ticket IT Service Center to request assistance in re-uploading the affected sessions. In any case, the maintenance tasks will not prevent users from making recordings. |
08/13/2012 | TruView started having performance issues starting just after 2:00 p.m. on 8/13/2012 and continuing until around 3:30 p.m. The system was restarted several times in an attempt to fix the problem. Channels that pull content directly from Banner are still displaying an error. We are working with the vendor to resolve this issue. |
07/15/2012 | Incoming University e-mail and hosted Moodle services will be unavailable this Sunday, July 15th, from 12:00AM to 3:00AM.
MORENet, the University ISP, will be be performing maintenance on their systems during this time period. University email will still be accessible during this window but new external messages will not be delivered until the maintenance is complete. We apologize for any inconvenience. 07/12/2012 | Faculty/Staff email was unavailable from 3:00AM to 8:00AM. The system became unavailable after attempting to restart for monthly security updates. All services are now back online. |
07/11/2012 | TruView was unavailable from approximately 4:30 a.m. to 7:55 a.m. due to a failed automatic restart. All services have been restored. |
07/17/2012 | UPDATE - A temporary repair will be in place to restore phone service by noon today.
A phone cable providing service to Ophelia Parish has been damaged by construction activity in the area. Approximately thirty phone lines are currently without service. ITS is investigating options to repair the damaged line and restore service. |
07/13/2012 | REMINDER: Tonight at 8:00PM the Faculty/Staff email system unavailable for 15 to 30 minutes.

07/10/2012 | The network file server will be restarted at 3 AM Tuesday morning for maintenance. Network drives such as W: and Y: will be briefly unavailable. Thank you. |
07/05/2012 | UPDATE - The maintenance has been completed and all services are online.
This Thursday evening at 8:00PM, during the regularly scheduled ITS Maintenance window, cable tv services, wireless and wired networking will be unavailable for up to four hours in the following buildings: Power Plant An updated service note will be posted when this work is complete. 06/28/2012 | Blackboard services were experiencing very slow performance. Services are being restarted to resolve the performance issue. Blackboard services should be available again by 3:45pm. |
06/25/2012 | UPDATE 2: All functionality has been restored to the operator and call center phone system. We apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused.
UPDATE: There was a multi-server outage at our phone vendor's site. Basic phone operation for both the call center and telephone operator numbers have been restored but we may still have some intermittent issues. We are still unable to forward or transfer calls from our operator phone system. We are currently experiencing a technical outage of our Telephone Operator number x4000 and the IT Service Center (Help Desk) number x4544. Our Vendor is aware of the issue and technicians are working to correct the issue as soon as possible. |
06/25/2012 | All web traffic for www2.truman.edu is now being redirected automatically to the appropriate faculty and staff personal WordPress sites on http://sites.truman.edu This is the final step in the personal site migration project which has been underway for much of the last year. |

06/25/2012 | There is a roof leak above the networking equipment that provides service to the north side of Baldwin Hall. All network services are currently online but could potentially be shutdown if the risk of water damage or electrical shorts persist. |
06/13/2012 | TruView was unavailable from approximately 5:00 a.m. to 7:20 a.m. on 6/13/2012 due to a failed automatic restart. All services were restored at 7:20 a.m. |
06/08/2012 | We completed the repair work to the DegreeWorks server. All services are now available.
----- The DegreeWorks server has reported a hardware failure on one of its drives. We are taking the system down immediately to run additional tests and replace the drive if needed. An updated Service Note will be sent out when the system is available again. |
06/08/2012 | ITS and Panopto technicians have identified the issue with viewer access problems to Panopto content. Content copied into a new course from a previous course was not immediately available to the students in the new course. A solution is being implemented. Please report any continuing errors or problems with viewing Panopto content to the ITS Service Center. |
06/06/2012 | ITS has identified a problem with viewer access to Panopto videos recorded/copied/moved from previous courses. We have an open case with Panopto and are investigating the problem. The case has been escalated to the Panopto development team which is not available till 10:30am CDT. We will post an update following that. |
