| 02/12/2013 | UPDATE:The issue at Fonality has been corrected. There was a failure to the audio packets from the hosted servers. The phones have been tested and are fully operational. Issue was resolved at 3:00PM.
The Fonality phone system that is used for the IT Service Center is also being effected by the same outage. Fonality Engineers are working on the issue. The Fonality phone system that runs the Truman Telephone Operator number 785-4000 is not able to receive calls. Engineers are working on the issue. It appears the issue started at approx. 12:30PM. |
| 02/12/2013 | TruView was unavailable from about 10:20 a.m. to about 10:40 a.m. on 2/12/2013. The system was responding slowly and then was restarted to fix the problem. |

| 02/07/2013 | MORENet will be performing maintenance on the primary University internet connection on February 7th. There may be brief internet outages in between midnight and 6:00AM.

| 01/24/2013 | The University internet connection through MORENet experienced a connectivity issue from 1:15PM to 1:25PM. We have contacted MORENet and they are working to troubleshoot the issue. |
| 01/24/2013 | We are currently experiencing issues with Blackboard that are resulting in serious performance issues. We are working on this and hope to restore normal service as soon as possible. |
| 01/24/2013 | TruView started running very slowly at about 11:45 a.m. on 1/24/2013. After a failed attempted restart of just the portal software, the whole server had to be restarted. All services were restored at about 12:15 p.m. |
| 01/17/2013 | The Kirk Building network was unavailable from 8:00PM to 9:00PM due to equipment failure. The failed equipment has been replaced and full service is now available. |
| 01/16/2013 | Blackboard services are being restarted at 4:50pm due to performance issues. Services should be restored in 10 to 15 minutes. We will continue to monitor the system and try to track down the source of the performance issues. |
| 01/15/2013 | Networking services are unavailable at the West Campus Suites Annex due to a power outage. AmerenUE and campus electricians are currently working on the issue. |
| 01/08/2013 | We have learned we need to apply a couple of Blackboard patches to resolve potential issues in our new Blackboard 9.1 SP9 environment. We will be taking Blackboard down at 9am today to apply the patches in our attempt to ensure Blackboard is ready for start of Spring semester.
It is expected to take no longer than 30 minutes, if all goes well. We apologize for the inconvenience. |
| 01/10/2013 | Thursday, January 10th starting at 8:00PM, ITS will be performing maintenance on the wireless network and select systems. The wireless network will be unavailable for five to fifteen minutes in between 8:00PM and 8:30PM.
At 9:00PM updates will be applied to Wordpress. The maintenance should take around 30 minutes and some sites may be unavailable briefly during that time. Sites affected include Faculty and Staff personal sites on sites.truman.edu, department blogs on blogs.truman.edu, many student organization sites, and the "Inside Truman" intranet at wp-internal.truman.edu. Finally, also at this time security certificates will be updated on Faculty/Staff email, VPN, virtual desktops and the wireless network. No outage is expected but there may be a one to three minute service disruption for these services. |
| 01/02/2013 | At 3pm today, January 2, 2013, we will completing a necessary maintenance update to Blackboard which will require Blackboard services to be temporarily unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience this causing. |
| 12/28/2012 | Blackboard will be unavailable this morning. Blackboard is being upgraded. Please plan on services not being available until approximately 12:00pm today. |
| 12/26/2012 | There will be a campus electrical power outage Wednesday, December 26th, starting at 7 AM for the Student Recreation Center, Centennial Hall and the Student Union Building. The outage is expected to last for at least eight hours.
During this time campus television services will be unavailable and so will network services in these buildings. Television services will not be restored until Thursday morning. |
| 12/19/2012 | The Student Union network and cable TV for campus were unavailable due to electrical maintenance in the SUB this morning at 9:00AM. Power has been restored as of 9:15AM. |
| 12/18/2012 | Power is currently not available in the Student Union Building, Rec Center and Centennial Hall. Networking services may not be available in these locations. |
| 12/17/2012 | The EMS system will be upgraded on Thursday December 20. Following the Wednesday night backup, EMS will be down for upgrade. It is expected to have EMS and VirtualEMS (EMSPro) services functional by noon on December 20. All EMS Campus client users will be down until their PC EMS software is upgraded to the new client version. |

| 12/13/2012 | Thursday (December 13th), during the regular scheduled ITS maintenance window, ITS will be performing maintenance on the McClain Hall and Barnett Hall networks.
Starting at 8:00PM there may be a short five minute network outage for select locations on the west side of McClain Hall. At approximately 10:00PM there will be a five minute outage for Barnett Hall on the second floor east side of the building. |
| 12/07/2012 | At approximately 7p.m. yesterday, the PML 203 Black and White printer experienced an unexpected outage. Students were still able to print to other printers in the PML libray. The PML 203 printer outage was fixed around 10a.m. today. We apologize for any inconvience and thank you for your patience. |
| 12/05/2012 | Barnett Hall is currently without electrical power. As a result information technology services to Barnett Hall may be unavailable. |
| 12/01/2012 | Both Wired and wireless network for areas near Barnett 2nd floor east were offline from Friday at 9:00pm-Saturday at 5:00pm. This was due to a UPS failure and was unplanned. |
| 12/03/2012 | TruView was restarted at about 1:40 p.m. on 12/3/2012 due to slow login times. All services appear to be back up by 1:45 p.m. |
