| 07/03/2013 | ITS will be upgrading the University anti-spam solution, the Barracuda Spam Firewall, on Tuesday evening, July 2nd. All settings (white/black lists, etc) will be kept during the upgrade and no action will be required.
However, as part of the upgrade, any existing messages in the spam quarantine will no longer be visible. You will be still be able to deliver these messages to your inbox for up to the next two weeks (July 16th) by logging into barracuda-old.truman.edu in your web browser or clicking the link from the spam summary email you receive the morning of July 2nd. If you do not have any existing, relevant messages in your quarantine you can disregard this notice. Any new messages that are marked as spam will be stored in your normal quarantine. You will be able to access these messages as you normally do by clicking a link from a spam quarantine summary email or by visiting barracuda.truman.edu in your web browser. |

| 07/03/2013 | Monday and Tuesday, July 1st and 2nd, the University cable TV vendor will be performing maintenance on the Cable TV system. There may be short isolated outages to one or more channels and short five minute outages in ResHalls as this work is completed.
When this maintenance is complete the cable system will have a re-vamped channel lineup and will offer HD channels and programming. |

Cable TV services will be unavailable for 5 to 10 minutes in FA, CA, MK, KB, MG, RH, DH, BNB, and MH. Wireless network access in McClain Hall will be unavailable for 5 to 10 minutes. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience. |
| 06/14/2013 | Tonight at 8:00PM, during the regularly scheduled ITS maintenance window, technicians will be performing maintenance on portions of the Cable TV system and network systems in BT1209.
Cable TV service will be unavailable during this time in BT, WCS, CH, REC, SUB, OP, PML and VH. Cable TV service to these buildings will be restored by 12:00AM. On Friday morning, Cable TV service will be unavailable to HS, GH, BT, and PH. Services to these buildings will be restored by 4:00PM on Friday afternoon. | 05/30/2013 | Networking services are unavailable in sections of Barnett Hall, West Campus Suites, Trades Building and University Farm due to power outages. |
| 05/22/2013 | On Thursday, May 23rd, at 10:00PM ITS will be performing the changes to separate the W: drives for the Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science departments.
For any users in these departments only -- Please save and close any open documents or files that reside on the W: drive and if possible log off or shutdown your office computer system. If your office computer system is logged in during these changes you will need to restart your system when the changes are complete before you can access the W: drive. ITS is providing each department their own copy of the existing W: drive. If you are a Windows user in one of these departments on a Truman owned system you will not notice any changes or have any required action. If you do run into any issues please restart your system and if issues persist notify the ITS Service Center at x4544 or https://its.truman.edu/helpdesk/ . NOTE - For Linux users or any other user that manually maps the W: drive - The "share" name will change from "MCS" to one of the following: MATH If you have any scripts or systems that map the drive, please update as needed. | 05/17/2013 | Physical Plant will shutting down electrical service in Magruder Hall this morning at 10:00AM for approximately one hour. Networking services to the building will be unavailable after the backup power batteries are exhausted. |
| 05/16/2013 | ITS Services will update the WordPress Networks during our scheduled maintenance window at around 9:00 p.m. on 5/16/2013. The maintenance should take around 30 minutes and some sites may be unavailable briefly during that time. Sites affected include Faculty and Staff personal sites on sites.truman.edu, department blogs on blogs.truman.edu, many student organization sites, the Truman Media Network at tmn.truman.edu, and the "Inside Truman" intranet at wp-internal.truman.edu. |

During this outage electricians will be activating a new electrical feed to Centennial Hall. Networking services to these locations may be unavailable for the duration of the power outage. |
