05/22/2013 | On Thursday, May 23rd, at 10:00PM ITS will be performing the changes to separate the W: drives for the Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science departments.
For any users in these departments only -- Please save and close any open documents or files that reside on the W: drive and if possible log off or shutdown your office computer system. If your office computer system is logged in during these changes you will need to restart your system when the changes are complete before you can access the W: drive. ITS is providing each department their own copy of the existing W: drive. If you are a Windows user in one of these departments on a Truman owned system you will not notice any changes or have any required action. If you do run into any issues please restart your system and if issues persist notify the ITS Service Center at x4544 or https://its.truman.edu/helpdesk/ . NOTE - For Linux users or any other user that manually maps the W: drive - The "share" name will change from "MCS" to one of the following: MATH If you have any scripts or systems that map the drive, please update as needed. Thank you. |
05/17/2013 | Physical Plant will shutting down electrical service in Magruder Hall this morning at 10:00AM for approximately one hour. Networking services to the building will be unavailable after the backup power batteries are exhausted. |
05/16/2013 | ITS Services will update the WordPress Networks during our scheduled maintenance window at around 9:00 p.m. on 5/16/2013. The maintenance should take around 30 minutes and some sites may be unavailable briefly during that time. Sites affected include Faculty and Staff personal sites on sites.truman.edu, department blogs on blogs.truman.edu, many student organization sites, the Truman Media Network at tmn.truman.edu, and the "Inside Truman" intranet at wp-internal.truman.edu. |
05/10/2013 | A power outage is scheduled for the Student Union Building, Student Recreation Center and Centennial Hall on Monday, May 13th, at 2:30PM.
During this outage electricians will be activating a new electrical feed to Centennial Hall. Networking services to these locations may be unavailable for the duration of the power outage. |
04/30/2013 | At approximately 11:50 am today, the online account access for the Student Print Accounts was not functioning. ITS worked on the issue, ascertained the caused and corrected it. Full services were restored as of 11:55 am. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. |
04/30/2013 | The University internet connection was unavailable from 2:09AM to 2:30AM due to a power failure with the University Internet Service Provider in the Kanas City area. |
04/29/2013 | TruView was unavailable from about 9:50 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on 10/29/2013. All services should now be restored. |
04/28/2013 | TruView was unavailable from about 4:35 p.m. to 5:10 p.m. on 4/28/2013. All services should be back up. |
04/24/2013 | At approximately 12:25 pm today, the Student Print Server experienced an issue with the Student Account balances and reporting. ITS was working on the issue, and had resolved it by 12:30 pm. All Student Print services have been restored. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. |
04/17/2013 | Due to flooding in Pershing Arena there will be a 5 minute network outage to move equipment from the path of the water. |
04/17/2013 | TruView was unavailable from about 9:30 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. on 4/17/2013. Several attempts to restart the portal system were unsuccessful, so finally the whole server was restarted. This seems to have fixed the problem. All services are now available. |
04/11/2013 | TruView will be taken down for maintenance at 9:00 p.m on 4/11/2013. The maintenance is expected to take around 30 minutes. |
04/12/2013 | As part of the transition from the previous Cellular Service Provider for Truman, ITS will be shutting down the BlackBerry Enterprise Server that was used for the Truman owned BlackBerry devices. This is scheduled to occur tonight at 9:00 pm. As all of the previous BlackBerry devices have been transitioned to new devices on the new service provider, there should not be any service disruption. 04/11/2013 | Upgrade is complete. Services were available at 3:30pm.
On Thursday, April 11, starting at 7am, TouchNet, the University’s third party credit card processor, will be completing a major upgrade of Truman’s TouchNet systems. The University community is asked to plan for this service outage to last all day. The service outage includes all University hosted online payment services (UPay sites), some services/tasks that are part of daily Business Office cashiers operations, and Student Bill+Payment (http://mybill.truman.edu) which impacts all students and any authorized users (parents, guardians, etc). This is a major upgrade that brings with it some user interface changes and functional enhancements along with additional security features to ensure our E-Commerce environment is in compliance with evolving regulations. |
04/10/2013 | The Student Payment Suite link in TruView was unavailable from 5:00am to 9:50am. The service failed to restart following Windows update. Services were started manually. |
04/09/2013 | TruView and most University websites were unavailable for a short time this morning due to problems with a database server. TruView was unavailable from about 10:33 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. and websites were unavailable from around 10:42 a.m. to around 10:46 a.m. All services have been restored. |
04/09/2013 | Tuesday, April 9th, at 8:00AM technicians will be performing maintenance on the University cable TV system for the southwest corner of campus.
There may be a brief loss of service but no full outage is expected at this time. Buildings in the impacted area are Pershing, Health Sciences, Barnett Hall, Patterson House and Grim Hall. |
04/05/2013 | The scheduled maintenance for the Panopto servers has been completed. |
04/05/2013 | Tonight, 4 April 2013, between 7 and 8:30pm we will be performing maintenance and upgrades on the Panopto servers. This work is expected to be transparent to users of the system, however brief intermittent outages during the maintenance window could occur. If you are recording and uploading sessions during this time and find that any of those recordings later are not available in Blackboard, please enter a ticket via the IT Service Center to request assistance in re-uploading the affected sessions. The maintenance tasks will not prevent users from making recordings and should not affect viewing recordings. |
03/26/2013 | TruView had some performance issues just before noon on 3/26/2013. The system was restarted just after 12pm and all services were restored by about 12:20pm. |
03/29/2013 | The University Course Capture System, Panopto, will be unavailable during maintenance on March 28th from 8:00PM to 8:30PM.
