CAS authentication will be updated this Thursday during the maintenance window (8:00 PM). The update may result in a short duration of time in which authentication requests will not be served.

There will be a short network outage on Tuesday morning at aproximately 7:15AM as new equipment is activated in the ResHall.

Links from TruView to Self Service Banner are currently broken following last night's switch to the new version of TruView. We are working to resolve this issues as soon as possible.

UPDATE: the links should be working ON campus or through the VPN now. They still do not work from Off Campus.

UPDATE: all areas of TruView should be working, both on and off campus. If you are still experiencing issues, please contact the IT Service Center at 660-785-4544.

TruView will be upgraded at 8:00 p.m. on 2/5/2015. The CAS server will also be restarted at that time to upgrade memory.

All outages should be relatively brief.

UPDATE - the Student Printing Services have been restored.  All Student Printers are now available once again.   We apologize for the inconvenience, and again thank you for your patience.

 

At approximately 5:00 PM today, the Student Print Services campus wide will be unavailable, in order to resolve an issue with students checking their balances at https://secure.truman.edu/its-s/printbalance/ 

The outage may be several hours, and will affect Student Printing campus wide.  We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.

UPDATE - As of 8:45 PM tonight, the Student Print Services were online and accessible.  We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you again for your patience.

 

At approximately 5:00 PM today, Student Print Services will be unavailable to perform maintenance.  The outage will be no more than 30 minutes, and service will be restored fully when completed.  During this time, all Student Printing campus wide will be offline.  An update will be posted when the maintenance has been completed.  We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank oyu for your patience.

Our payment processor, TouchNet, is experiencing sitewide service outages that result in all Truman online payment processing (PayPath, Bill+Payment, UPay sites, etc). being unavailalbe. TouchNet is communicating with us with status upates and have all available staff working to get service back up.

We will update you when we have more information.

Tonight at 10:00 PM we will be changing TruView back to the new version.

TruView was unavailable from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on 1/6/2015 following maintenance. The decision was made to revert back to the old TruView. 

DegreeWorks integration is working again.

Digital Measures integration is currently not available, but will be again shortly.

 

If you do not see the old TruView again, you can restart your computer to pick up the change.

TruView will be taken down for brief maintenance at 12:00 noon on 1/6/2015. We are increasing the amount of memory available to increase system performance. The system should be down for about 15 minutes.

Blackboard services are being restarted at 9am. This will result in a service outage while the services are being restarted. Service should be restored in approximately 20 minutes.

Following the upgrade of TruView, DegreeWorks integration is not working. Clicking on DegreeWorks in TruView results in being prompted for your login and pin. If you have a critical need to get into DegreeWorks, we can assist you with a work around (contact troberts@truman.edu for work around).

We are currently working on the integration issue and hope to have it resolved as quicklly as possible. We appreciate your patience as we work through these upgrade issues.

Update: Digital Measures logon link service has been restored.

Currently Digital Measures is unavailable via the TruView link. The vendor has been contacted for support and resolution is actively being pursued and expect service restoration later today.

We are currently working with Panopto on a login issue.  Our technicians are in contact with Panopto support and we hope to have the issues resolved shortly.

We are currently experiencing a few issues with the CAS server following last weeks update. Users may get authentication errors or the site may be unavailble as we work to fix this issue.

TruView will be upgraded beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 4, 2015.

The new version is already installed on a separate server, so downtime should be fairly minimal. It could take several hours for changes to be made to all related systems.

During the upgrade process, the following systems can be accessed directly:

  • Student Email
  • Blackboard

UPDATE - The New Student Print Server is online and functioning.  Student Print Services have been restored.  One thing to note is that all of the ResHall printers (Ex. MHLab LaserJet) are no longer on TP2, but are on TP1, along with the printers that were on TP1 before the migration.  Again we apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. 

 

On Friday, Jan.2, 2015, starting at 8:00 am, the Student Print services will undergo a planned outage to migrate to a new Student Print Server.  During this time, all Student Printing services will be offline.  The outage is expected to last until 5:00 PM or later, but may be done ahead of schedule.  Once services have been restored, an update will be posted.  We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.

Blackboard upgrade is complete and services have been restored.

Update on the Blackboard upgrade; We ran into an issue in the middle of the upgrade and had to call in Blackboard support. It took a while working with support to resolve the issue so the upgrade could continue. The issue was resolved and work is once again progressing on the upgrade. We are getting close to completing the upgrade barring running into any more issues.

An update will be sent out when the upgrade is complete.

Blackboard will be unavailable this morning starting at 8am. Blackboard is being upgraded. Please plan on services not being available for an estimated six hours. We will restore services as soon as possible at the completion of the upgrade.

The Central Authentication Server (cas.truman.edu) will be upgraded at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30. The new version is already installed on a new server, so there should be no downtime. Users who are logged in to a CAS-protected service (such as WordPress administration, etc) may be required to log in again after the switchover.

Banner Forms are still unavailable. Ellucian brought Oracle support in on our case and we escalated our issue with Oracle over the break but we do not yet have a resolution. Ellucian/Oracle believes this may be a server issue. We have also opened a case with IBM as a priorty 1 down case as well.

In the meantime, we are pursuing a couple of contingency plans to try to get forms access back up for critical functions.

Updates will be provided when have more information.

Banner Forms (for all environments) are currently down. We are working with Ellucian support to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

UPDATE - As of 10:30 PM, the student ThinApps on the Student Virtual Dekstops were up and functioning again.  Again, we apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.

Tonight at 10:00 PM, ITS will be performing maintenance on the server hosting the ThinApps for the Student Virtual Desktops.

This maintenance should only last about 30 minutes, and all ThinApps will be done during this time.

An update will be posted when the maintenance jas been completed.
