TruView will be upgraded beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 4, 2015. The new version is already installed on a separate server, so downtime should be fairly minimal. UPDATE - The New Student Print Server is online and functioning. Student Print Services have been restored. One thing to note is that all of the ResHall printers (Ex. MHLab LaserJet) are no longer on TP2, but are on TP1, along with the printers that were on TP1 before the migration. Again we apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.
On Friday, Jan.2, 2015, starting at 8:00 am, the Student Print services will undergo a planned outage to migrate to a new Student Print Server. During this time, all Student Printing services will be offline. The outage is expected to last until 5:00 PM or later, but may be done ahead of schedule. Once services have been restored, an update will be posted. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. |

Blackboard upgrade is complete and services have been restored. ------ Update on the Blackboard upgrade; We ran into an issue in the middle of the upgrade and had to call in Blackboard support. It took a while working with support to resolve the issue so the upgrade could continue. The issue was resolved and work is once again progressing on the upgrade. We are getting close to completing the upgrade barring running into any more issues. An update will be sent out when the upgrade is complete. ------ Blackboard will be unavailable this morning starting at 8am. Blackboard is being upgraded. Please plan on services not being available for an estimated six hours. We will restore services as soon as possible at the completion of the upgrade. |

The Central Authentication Server (cas.truman.edu) will be upgraded at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30. The new version is already installed on a new server, so there should be no downtime. Users who are logged in to a CAS-protected service (such as WordPress administration, etc) may be required to log in again after the switchover. |

12/29/2014 Banner Forms are still unavailable. Ellucian brought Oracle support in on our case and we escalated our issue with Oracle over the break but we do not yet have a resolution. Ellucian/Oracle believes this may be a server issue. We have also opened a case with IBM as a priorty 1 down case as well. In the meantime, we are pursuing a couple of contingency plans to try to get forms access back up for critical functions. Updates will be provided when have more information. ----------- 12/23/2014 Banner Forms (for all environments) are currently down. We are working with Ellucian support to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. |

UPDATE - As of 10:30 PM, the student ThinApps on the Student Virtual Dekstops were up and functioning again. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. Tonight at 10:00 PM, ITS will be performing maintenance on the server hosting the ThinApps for the Student Virtual Desktops. This maintenance should only last about 30 minutes, and all ThinApps will be done during this time. An update will be posted when the maintenance jas been completed. NEW UPDATE - SPSS is now working. Thank you for your patience!
UPDATE - The Student Computing environment is back online, and all Virtual Apps are functioning, with the exception of SPSS. ITS is aware of the issue, and is working to resolve the issue ASAP.

At 9:20 am today, the network server that handles the Virtual Apps for the Student Computing environment will need to be restarted to fix an existing issue cuasing several Vritual Apps to be unavailable.

Update - As of 10:13 PM, all services have been fully restored, and should be available. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.
Starting at 9:00 PM this evening, ITS will be performing necessary maintenance on several network servers. The services that may be affected are: Faculty and Student Printing and Virtual Desktops. The maintenance is projected to last around 2 hours. Some services may be available during this period, but may become unavailable at any point during this time. DegreeWorks upgraded environment has continued to be unstable since the upgrade. We believed we had it stablized but reports started coming in regarding access issues. We do know that you need to use a Chrome browser (IE and FireFox aren't working at this time). We are working with support on the upgraded web server issues. Currently we have not identfied the source of the problems. We will continue to work with Ellucian support to resolve the issues with DegreeWorks and provide updates as we have more information. To try to restore some needed services, we've come up with a temporary work around that at the moment seems to be working. We'll put it in place in TruView over night. If you need access today, please contact me directly. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and we appreciate your patience as we work through this. |

At approximately 12:19 PM today, the primary DNS server, which handles name resolution for internal and external resources, encoutered an issue and stopped responding. ITS identified the issue, and took corrective actions. DNS service was restored at 12:30 PM. We apologize for any incovenience, and thank you fpr your patience. |

As of 11:10 DegreeWorks services were available to campus. We had some limited availability off and on the last couple of days but the TruView integration which is used by most of campus was not functioning following the upgrade. DegreeWorks is upgrades and available now. We appreciate everyone's patience was we work with Ellucian support to resolve these issues. ----- The DegreeWorks upgrade has been completed but we are having issues with the upgraded environment. We are working with Ellucian support to try to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. ----------------- DegreeWorks services are down. We are upgrading the DegreeWorks application. Services are expected to be down until approximately 6pm. |

09/30/2014 | UPDATE: We received the the following notice from MORENET: MOREnet network was degraded by a DDOS attack aimed at one of our members. MOREnet is working on mitigating the attack. ORIGINAL SERVICE NOTE: The primary University Internet Connection through MORENet is currently experiencing issues. The issue has been reported to MORENet and the is currently state wide through their network. We will provide an update when available. |
09/26/2014 | Update - As of 8:35 am, Network services have been restored to Missouri Hall. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Today, at approximately 8:15 am, Network services in Missouri Hall may experience a brief outage. ITS has identified an issue with the Truman Network in Missouri Hall, and will be resolving the issue. Affected areas will be both Wireless and Wired connections in Missouri Hall. The outage should be about 15 minutes, during which Network connections may be off. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. |
