09/10/2014 | Update: Electrical power has been restored and IT services are now up in Ophelia Parrish and Randolph Apartments. ----- Due to the storm last night several IT services were / are unavailable. The primary data center went down after being without power for several hours. Most data center services have been restored. Barnett basement flooded and some network equipment is down, we are working on repairs. Some areas of Ophelia Parrish do not have electrical power, network is down on OP 1st floor south. The network is currently down in Randolph Apartments due to no power. We will provide updates when they are available. Thank you. |

UPDATE - The outage will not begin until around 1:00 am. Sorry for any confusion. Tonight, starting at 12:00 am, Student Printing Services will be unavailable. The outage should be 2-3 hours, and will be campus wide. Once service has been restored, an update will be posted. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. |
08/15/2014 | As of early this morning, network connections campus wide are experiencing intermittent connection issues to the Truman domain and Internet. ITS identified the issue and resolved. Network and Internet should be restored as of 8:35 am. We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your understanding and patience. |
08/14/2014 | Tonight at 8:30PM, during the regularly scheduled ITS Maintenance Windows, ITS will be performing maintenance in Violette Hall, Ophelia Parish and Baldwin Hall. There may be short five to fifteen minute network outages in select portions of these buildings. |
08/13/2014 | UPDATE - The work on the Truman Print Servers has been completed. All Faculty/Staff and Student print services should be functioning again. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.
Student and Faculty/Staff print services will be unavailable, starting at 6:00 PM on Thursday, Aug. 14th, to allow for upgrading to new print servers. This will take several hours to perform, and an update will be posted when completed. Once completed, there should not be any changes necessary to resume printing. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. |

08/04/2014 | In-classroom Chumby network communication with projectors was not reestablished after the scheduled power outage yesterday. Networking conducted maintenance in concert with the power outage and upgraded a core network switch. The upgrade affected the network configuration for the Chumby and projector subnets. The configuration was interpreted differently by the upgrade. Communication was reestablished at approximately 8:50 this morning. |

08/03/2014 | Blackboard services are now available following the power outage to enable Ameren to repair the Randolph Street substation. |
08/03/2014 | Beginning as early as 7:00 pm on August 2nd, some non-critical and test systems will be taken down in preparation for the partial campus power outage scheduled for August 3rd.
At around 4:00 am on August 3rd, ITS will begin taking down all remaining systems (Banner, TruView, Blackboard, Email, etc) as well as the entire campus network, as McClain Hall will be affected by the power outage. The campus will lose power around 6:00 am, and it is estimated that outage will last for 10-12 hours. All systems will be brought back up as soon as power is available, and ITS will provide progress updates as services are restored. Thank you for your patience during this process. |
08/01/2014 | Thursday, July 31, 2014, between 5:30pm and 7:30pm, ITS will be performing maintenance and upgrades on the Panopto servers. This work is expected to be transparent to users of the system, however brief intermittent outages during the maintenance window could occur.
If you are recording and uploading sessions during this time and later find that any of those recordings are not available in Blackboard, please enter a ticket via the IT Service Center to request assistance in re-uploading the affected sessions. The maintenance tasks will not prevent users from making recordings. Following the maintenance, if you have Panopto recording software installed on your personal or University-owned office computer, you will be prompted to update that software. You may follow the on-screen instructions to complete this task. For University-owned office computers you may also contact your Building Support Technician or the IT Service Center to request assistance with the update. All classroom computers with Panopto will be updated by ITS staff. Thursday evening is a regularly scheduled ITS maintenance window, however the start time is earlier than normal maintenance time frames to coordinate with Panopto Support availability. |
03/27/2014 | Due to a loss of power to McClain Hall from 10:00am to 12:00pm, most IT systems were shutdown from about 11:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. |
07/24/2014 | All Truman WordPress sites will be updated at approximately 9:00 p.m. during tonight's maintenance window. Any downtime should be brief. This includes all personal and organizations sites using WordPress, blogs.truman.edu, wp-internal.truman.edu, and www.truman.edu. |
07/22/2014 | Banner forms are now available ---- At 5:15pm, Banner forms will be shutdown to complete some work to try to resolve performance issues with the new Banner forms server. Work is expected to take no more that one hour. |
07/15/2014 | The campus cable television system will be unavailable on Monday, July 14th, as satellite dishes are relocated to accommodate ongoing roofing repair projects. Cable television service will be unavailable starting Monday morning and will be restored by the end of the day. |
