The central authentication service will be restarted today during the maintenance window (10:15 PM). The update may result in a short duration of time in which authentication requests will not be served.

Banner Self-Service links in TruView experienced a service outage beginning at approximately 10:35 to 10:50. This outage also impacted DegreeWorks operation. All Banner & DegreeWorks links should now available.

The central authenticaion service will be restarted this Sunday during the maintenance window (8:00 AM). The update may result in a short duration of time in which authentication requests will not be served. The restart is required to add the ePrint service to the list of allowed services.

Normal service has been restored. 

Update:

To resolve the problem a nightly backup is being restored. There will be a 15 minute outage.

It has been reported that TruView is not displaying content properly. We are pursuing a solution to this problem. We will update the service note as soon as resolution is met.

The TruView service will be restarted during Thursday night's maintenance window at 8:00 PM. The restart is necessary in resolving a message processing issue that is preventing some new accounts from being created within TruView.

Update:

TruView is regaining responsiveness. We will continue working on it until it reaches idea performance again.

 

TruView was reported as responding very slowly. The service has been restarted to improve performance. Service should be restored momentarily.

The Windows web server Helium will be restarted at about 9:30 a.m. on 3/16/2015 to change configuration that is preventing users from being able to log in to certain websites. This is an emergency reboot outside of our normal maintenance window because users are unable to do their jobs.

There may be several reboots in a row as we try to troubleshoot this recurring issue.

Some department sites that have not moved to WordPress as well as the secure.truman.edu site will be affected.

Update:

ASP application authentication has been restored.

 

 

All ASP applications are currently disallowing login from domain connected computers by default as a result of a Microsoft security patch applied yesterday. The problem is actively being worked on. In the meantime we have a workaround that you may use to continue accessing the ASP applications. It involves making a configuration change to your web browser. It will provide the credentials that you log in to the computer with to the ASP web application for authentication.

On step 4 do click on the Advanced button and enter truman.edu (without http://) and add it to the list.

Thursday at 8:00PM, during the regularly scheduled ITS maintenance window, phone services and network services to the Student Union Building will be briefly unavailable.  Full service should be restored by 9:00PM.

Banner Self-Service links in TruView, TouchNet integration with Banner, and document management services (BDMS) integations have all been restored. We are reviewing for any additional integration issues that might be remaining.

Currently some Banner services including Banner Self-Service in Truman are receiving an error. We are working on the issue and hope to have it resolved soon.

Banner database and most forms services are up and functional.

Jenkins will be down momentarily during Thursday's maintenance window for a software update.

GitLab will be down for approximately 15 minutes during Sunday's maintenance window for it's monthly software update.

Banner Upgrade

The Banner upgrade is complete. Banner and all Banner integrated, dependent services including the Banner links in TruView are all now available.

The Banner system is scheduled for an upgrade this weekend. Banner and all Banner integrated, dependent services including the Banner links in TruView will be unavailable starting at 4am Saturday morning, February 28th, and will remain down until the completion of the upgrade. It is expected that the upgrade may take until Sunday evening, March 1st.

 

An email notice will be sent out when the Banner system is available following completion of the upgrade.

 

Note: Blackboard services will not be impacted by the Banner upgrade and will be available as usual.

We are currently experiencing issues with Banner Self-Service (via TruView). We are investigating the source of the issue and hope to resolve this quickly.

There will be a short network outage on Tuesday morning at aproximately 7:15AM as new equipment is activated in the ResHall.

Links from TruView to Self Service Banner are currently broken following last night's switch to the new version of TruView. We are working to resolve this issues as soon as possible.

UPDATE: the links should be working ON campus or through the VPN now. They still do not work from Off Campus.

UPDATE: all areas of TruView should be working, both on and off campus. If you are still experiencing issues, please contact the IT Service Center at 660-785-4544.

TruView will be upgraded at 8:00 p.m. on 2/5/2015. The CAS server will also be restarted at that time to upgrade memory.

All outages should be relatively brief.

UPDATE - the Student Printing Services have been restored.  All Student Printers are now available once again.   We apologize for the inconvenience, and again thank you for your patience.

 

At approximately 5:00 PM today, the Student Print Services campus wide will be unavailable, in order to resolve an issue with students checking their balances at https://secure.truman.edu/its-s/printbalance/ 

The outage may be several hours, and will affect Student Printing campus wide.  We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.
