12/16/2016 All Truman WordPress sites will be updated at approximately 9:30 p.m. during tonight's maintenance window. Any downtime should be brief. This includes all personal and organization sites using WordPress, blogs.truman.edu, wp-internal.truman.edu, tmn.truman.edu, and www.truman.edu.

RESOLVED: Socket confirmed the issues to be resolved as of 6:00PM on Wednesday.  The cause of the issues was a DDOS attack against Sockets network. If you have any issues with making/receiving calls or sound quality, please contact ITS.

Starting as soon as 10:03am, phone service is currently intermittent or completely down campus wide.  Our provider, Socket, is aware of the issue and are currently working toward a resoltuion.  We will send out an update as soon as service is restored.
 

12/08/2016 Since the University transitioned to our new telephone provider, there have been onging issues with sending and receiving faxes.  In an attempt to resolve these issues, our service provider has moved ALL fax machine numbers to new equipment. To make sure we resolve all faxing issues, we would appreciated your help in reporting any problems you encounter while using fax machines.  We need the following information: Time of error (nearest minute) Number of your fax machine Number you are trying to send the fax Description of problem or error message Forward this information to Dustin Howard - dhoward@truman.edu or call 785-4165.  Dustin will respond as quickly as possible and will assist in sending any faxes that are failing. We do not anticipate this change will speed up faxing, only make the service more reliable.
12/01/2016 The WordPress server was restarted at 8:25 a.m. on 12/1/2016 to fix some performance issues that have been occuring this morning. The issue appears to be resolved. Sites affected include campus office sites, student organization sites, blogs.truman.edu, and wp-internal.truman.edu.
11/17/2016 DegreeWorks services will be unavailable following with daily 4am backup in order for an upgrade to be completed. It is expected the upgrade could take four or five hours to completed. An email will go out when services are available following the upgrade.
11/14/2016 Faculty/staff e-mail delivery from Sunday evening to Monday morning may have been delayed for some individuals. The issue has been resolved as of 8:15AM this morning.

11/04/2016 University phones will be unavailable for five minutes starting at 8:00PM on Thursday, November 3rd, during the regularly scheduled ITS maintenance window. 
10/27/2016 Degree Works is now available.  The source of the issue is still being investigated.
10/13/2016 Various Truman websites were unavailble due to a problem with a database server from about 2:30 p.m. until about 2:45 p.m. on 10/13/2016. All services should be avaliable now.
Tonight during the maintenance window several development services will be updated, including comprehensively: Jenkins (ci.truman.edu) GitLab (itscode.truman.edu) YouTrack (youtrack.truman.edu) Downtime should be limited to a 30 minute window from 9:00 PM CST - 9:30 PM CST
09/30/2016 Tomorrow morning, September 30th, at 7:30AM there will be a short three to five minute interuption in network services in Barnett Hall as an uninterruptible power supply is installed. 
09/28/2016 At aprroximately 9:00 am today, the Truman network on campus experienced a network-wide outage of DNS.  All local and Internet resources were affected.  ITS was made aware of the issue, and all services should be back onine as of 9:09 am.   This outage was unexpected, and ITS will be investigating the casue of the outage. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thnk you for your patience and understanding.
09/26/2016 At aprroximately 12:09 PM today, the Truman network on campus experienced a network-wide outage of DNS.  All local and Internet resources were affected.  ITS was made aware of the issue, and all services should be back onine as of 12:35 PM.   This outage was unexpected, and ITS will be investigating the casue of the outage. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thnk you for your patience and understanding.
09/20/2016 Correction: The websites became unavailble about 11:50 a.m. (not 10:50 a.m.). The outage lasted about 10 minutes. Many Truman websites were briefly unavailable from about 10:50 a.m. to about 12:00 p.m. on 9/20/2016 due to a server issue. All services are back up and we are looking into the issue.
09/19/2016 Many Truman websites were briefly unavailable from about 10:42 a.m. to about 10:50 a.m. on 9/19/2016 due to a server issue. All services are back up and we are looking into the issue.
09/16/2016 Update - Maintenance on the new Exchange servers has been completed.  All services remained online during the process, and all services are available.   Thank you again for your time and understanding.   Tonight at approximately 9:00 PM, ITS will be performing maintenance on the new Exchange servers.  We do not anticipate any interruption of email service during the maintenance, and an update will be posted when the maintenance has completed.  Thank you for your time and understanding.

09/13/2016 Many WordPress sites including wp-internal.truman.edu, blogs.truman.edu, sites.truman.edu, and others were unavailable from about 5:05 pm until about 5:25 pm on 9/13/2016 due to an issue on the server. All services have been restored.
09/11/2016 Due to work on the McClain Hall electrial system all IT services were unavailable from 8 AM - noon.  Electrical power has now been restored.  All IT services are back up.  Thank you
09/08/2016 itscode.truman.edu will be down for approximately 15 minutes during Thursday's maintenance window for a software update.
09/02/2016 Banner Self-Service Banner services were down from 9pm to 10:25 as we completed diagnostics to determine the source of the server failure this morning. Services are now available.
09/02/2016 Banner Self-Service services were unavailable from approximately 6:55am to 9:05am due to a server failure. Banner Self-Service services are now available. Banner Self-Service services will be unavailable starting at 9:00pm this evening during the schedule weekly maintenance window in order for technicians to run diagnostics on the server to determine the cause of this mornings failure and determine any repairs that may be needed to avoid future failures of this type.  
08/18/2016 UPDATE - The work on the Student Print Server has been completed.   All Student Printing services are available again. Thank you for your patience and consideration.    Starting at 9:00 pm this evening, Student Printing sevices will temporarily unavailable, as ITS resolves an issue with the Student Print Server.  During the outage, all Student Printing services will be affected campus-wide, and the outage should last no more than 30 minutes. An update will be posted when Student Printing services are back online. We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.

The Microsoft SQL Database Server was briefly unavailable from about 11:45 a.m. to about 11:55 a.m. on 8/16/2016. Many websites were affected.
