03/22/2017 DegreeWorks services have been restored.  We will continue to monitor performance.
03/22/2017 Currently DegreeWorks in unavailable due to server resource issues.  We are working on getting services restored as soon as possible.
03/16/2017

On Thursday, March 16th at 8:00PM, ITS will be performing maintenance on the wireless network. During this time the wireless network will be unavailable campus wide for up to three hours. 

03/17/2017 Starting at 9:30pm on Thursday, March 16th, all Event Management System services (EMS Campus and Virtual EMS) will be unavailable for system maintenance. We appreciate your patience as we complete this maintenance.    
03/15/2017 Tonight, from 6:00PM to 6:30PM, twenty-one phone lines be temporarily unavailable as they moved to new equipment. 
04/24/2017 Update: the maintenance has been postponed to a later date.   TruView will be upgraded on Sunday, March 12, 2017 beginning at 8:00 a.m. The maintenance is expected to take until about 5 p.m. The system should remain up during the majority of the upgrade process, but there may be a few brief outages.
03/10/2017

At around 8:45am Socket had an equipment failure which was preventing many outbound calls.  They dispatched a technician on-site and have replaced the failed equipment.  Service should be restored as of 9:13am.

03/10/2017 Tonight at 9:30PM, during the regulary scheduled maintenance window, ITS will be performing maintenance on the primary file server (Hydrogen). No outage is expected at this time. 
03/10/2017 On March 9th, from 9:00PM to 9:05PM, the University phone system will be unavailable for maintenance. Calls will not be able to be placed or received during this window.  We apologize for the inconvienence and thank you for your patience. 
03/03/2017 The DegreeWorks database upgrade is complete and services are now available. ------- DegreeWorks services will be unavailable Thursday, March 2nd, beginning at 4am to upgrade the DegreeWorks database. The service outage will begin with backups and then is expected to be approximately four or five hours to complete the upgrade. Plan for DegreeWorks to be down for the morning. A service note will be sent out when the upgrade is complete and services have been restored.     We appreciate your patience as we work to maintain the DegreeWorks system/database.
03/01/2017 Multiple campus services that are hosted all or in part off campus/cloud based have been impacted afternoon by the service issues being experinced by Amazon Web Services. Truman services impacted include: Panopto - not able to log in Blackboard cloud services including Crocodoc and Safe Assign Acalog (Truman catalog) Slate (Slate used their failover site to get most everything up but were still experiencing limited/specific issues) Note: Additional services may also impacted.     The latest report from the Amazon Web Services Service Health Dashboard  can be found at http://status.aws.amazon.com/. Many other organizations including news sites have been impacted by these issues as well. Following through the service reports from AWS they are progressing on getting the issues resolved
02/26/2017 Update: Banner and all Banner services are available following the completion of the Banner upgrades. Original Message The Banner system is scheduled for an upgrade this weekend. Banner and all Banner integrated, dependent services including the Banner links in TruView will be unavailable starting at 4am Saturday morning, February 25th, and will remain down until the completion of the upgrade. It is expected that the upgrade will be completed late of Saturday but we ask campus to plan for the upgrade to take until Sunday evening, February 26th. Note: Blackboard services will not be impacted by the Banner upgrade and will be available as usual.

02/17/2017 Update: The maintenance work is complete. Banner and all Banner integrated services should now be availabile. Banner Services outage today, Feb 16, starting at 5pm There are currently several major projects in process relating to system upgrades. One of these projects is the migration of our enterprise systems backup and encrypted tape backup system to the Banner virtual environment. In order to facilitate this upgrade,  during tonight’s maintenance window Banner and all Banner integrated, dependent services including the Banner links in TruView will be unavailable starting at 5pm, *TODAY*, February 16th. The estimated downtime is approximately 3 hours. A Service Note will be sent out when Banner services are available following completion of this maintenance.
02/17/2017 All Truman WordPress sites will be updated at approximately 9:30 p.m. during tonight's maintenance window. Any downtime should be brief. This includes all personal and organization sites using WordPress, blogs.truman.edu, wp-internal.truman.edu, tmn.truman.edu, and www.truman.edu.
02/05/2017 DegreeWorks services will be unavailable starting at 10pm on Saturday, 2/4/2017, for maintenance work to be performed on the server. The work is expected to take 1-2 hours. We appreciate your paitence as we complete necessary maintenance work on the servers and systems.
02/03/2017     On Thursday, February 2nd at 8:00PM, ITS will be performing maintenance on the wireless network. No service outage is expected at this time. 
01/17/2017 Due to an issue we are having with the Banner database which is impacting some system processes and some key major projects, the Banner server will be unavailable at 9pm for approximately 15-20 minutes. We will make some adjustments to the database and hopefully prevent any additional issues. All Banner services including Banner links in TruView will be unavailable while we complete this work at 9pm. We appreciate your patience as we work on correcting this issue. Note: Blackboard services will NOT be impacted by this work.  
01/12/2017 UPDATE - Maintenance on the Barracuda SPAM and Virus Filter is complete and email services are restored.   ITS will upgrade the Barracuda SPAM and Virus Filter beginning at 8 pm on Thursday, January 12 during the regularly scheduled maintenance window. During the upgrade, email to Truman addresses from outside Truman will be queued for later delivery. This includes email from Truman Google accounts (student accounts).  Once the upgrade is complete, the queued mail will be delivered. The upgrade may take up to 3 hours, but will likely be done in less than 2 hours. We will update this service note when the upgrade is completed.
01/10/2017 The WordPress server was unavaiilable from about 3:15 - 3:30 on 1/10/2016. The server has been restared and all services seem to be available.
01/06/2017 There were some performance issues with TruView from about 4:00 until about 4:30 on 1/6/2017. At some points the system was unavailable as we worked to get the issues resolved. All services seem to be back up now.
01/06/2017 On Thursday, January 5th at 8:00PM, ITS will be performing maintenance on the wireless network. During this time the wireless network will be unavailable campus wide for one to two hours. 
01/05/2017 The MySQL Database server will be in read-only mode for about 45 minutes starting at 8:00 pm on 1/5/2017. This is to allow data replication to a new server. All websites will be accessible, but some interactive features may not allow updates during this time. 
12/23/2016 The MySQL Database server will be in read-only mode for several hours starting at 8:30 pm on 12/22/2016. This is to allow data replication to a new server. All websites will be accessible, but some interactive features may not allow updates during this time.
12/18/2016 Campus electrical power went down at ~ 2 AM Sunday morning.  Power was restored and most IT services up by ~ 7 AM Sunday morning.
