08/21/2017TruView had problems from about 11:00 a.m. until about 12:00 p.m. on 8/21/2017. All services should be restored.
08/18/2017All Truman WordPress sites will be updated at approximately 9:30 p.m. during tonight's maintenance window. Any downtime should be brief. This includes all personal and organization sites using WordPress, blogs.truman.edu, wp-internal.truman.edu, tmn.truman.edu, and www.truman.edu.
08/15/2017cas.truman.edu will be briefly unavailable at 10:00 on 8/15/2017. The system will be restarted to add the configuration for new services. This maintenance is being done outside our normal maintenance window in order to get it done prior to students arriving on campus. The system should be unavailble for a few minutes. If you are logged into a site already, your access shouldn't be interrupted. CAS is the logon system for TruView, WordPress sites, Google Apps, and many other web-based systems.

UPDATE -- Maintenence will on Thursday, August 10th.

The following maintenance will occur between 9pm - 10pm Thursday Night --

The 2.4Ghz wireless network will experience a brief 1 minute interruption while we make a configuration change.

A small area on the south side of Centennial Hall will experience a short network outage as equipment is power cycled.

Kirk Building will experience a short network outage while equipment is power cycled.

07/21/2017The wireless network will be briefly unavailable tonight for maintenance. Starting at 9:00PM the University wireless network will be unavailable for thirty to sixty minutes as configration settings are updated. 
06/30/2017Tonight at 10:00PM the primary University file server will be undergoing maintenance for thirty minutes. No outage is expected at this time. 
06/16/2017All Truman WordPress sites will be updated at approximately 9:30 p.m. during tonight's maintenance window. Any downtime should be brief. This includes all personal and organization sites using WordPress, blogs.truman.edu, wp-internal.truman.edu, tmn.truman.edu, and www.truman.edu.
06/16/2017The SQL Database Server had issues starting at approximately 12:50 pm on 6/15/2017 and had to be restarted at about 1:25 pm. Many websites were affected by this outage including the main Truman website, TruView, and many internal tools. All services should be restored.
05/19/2017Tonight at 9:30PM an Active Directory domain controller will be briefly unavailable for maintenance. No outage is expected at this time. 
05/19/2017The wireless network will be briefly unavailable tonight for maintenance. Starting at 9:00PM the University wireless network will be unavailable for five to fifteen minutes as software updates are installed. 
05/13/2017Network connectivity was disrupted for some wired and wireless conections this evening from 5:30PM to 9:30PM due to a DHCP service disruption. Full services have now been restored. 
05/16/2017UPDATE: Upgrade was completed successfully at about 11:15 a.m.   survey.truman.edu will be upgraded to a new version starting about 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. The upgrade should take a few hours to complete, and should be done by noon. All existing surveys and responses will be maintained through the upgrade process. The main change will be a new user interface. The Getting Started Guide at https://www.checkbox.com/docs/documentation/getting-started-guides/create-a-simple-survey/ is a good resource for navigating the new version.  
05/12/2017The University internet connection is partially degraded with one circuit currently unavailable due to a fiber cut. All traffic is currently routed to remaining single circuit. 
05/05/2017A well crafted widespread Google Apps phishing attack was launched this afternoon.  If you receive an email from Hhhhhhhhhhh@mailinator.com that looks like a Google Apps "shared documents" message DO NOT OPEN IT.  If you do open the email, you are still OK if you DO NOT click on the button in the email and enter your userid and password.  If you have clicked on the button and entered your userid and password immediately change your Truman password and remove the fake "Google Docs" app from your account. To remove the fake "Google Docs" app from your account go to:  https://myaccount.google.com/permissions, select "Manage Apps," click on any entries called "Google Docs", and click the Remove button. If you have any questions please contact the IT Service Center at x4544. Thank you
05/03/2017UPDATE: TruView access was restored at about 2:00 p.m. All services should be available again.   At approximately 1:30 PM today, TruView experienced an outage.  All access to TruView is unavailable.  ITS is aware of the issue, and is currently working to resolve it.  We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

04/24/2017TruView was unavailable from about 3:40 pm to about 4:30 pm on 4/24/2017. All services have been restored.
04/22/2017Update: DegreeWorks maintenance is complete and services are now available ----------- DegreeWorks services will be unavailable Friday, April 21st, beginning at 10am REMINDER: DegreeWorks services will be unavailable Friday, April 21st, beginning at 10am to upgrade the DegreeWorks database server. We will be adding memory to the server to address recent service disruptions due to memory constraint issues. The service outage is expected to be approximately two hours. This Service Note will be updated when the upgrade is complete and services have been restored.     We appreciate your patience as we work to maintain the DegreeWorks system.
04/23/2017* Updated to the appropriate date* TruView will be upgraded on Sunday, April 23, 2017 beginning at 8:00 a.m. The maintenance is expected to take until about 5 p.m. The system should remain up during the majority of the upgrade process, but there may be a few brief outages.
04/12/2017At 10:14 am today, ITS identified an issue with the FAC/STAFF print server that required a reboot to resolve. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.  
04/12/2017ITS was made aware of issues with printing for Faculty/Staff members.  The error recieved will state something like "Do you trust this printer?". This issue can be resolved by removing, and remapping one of your print queues on your local computer.  This will resolve the issue for all of your mapped print queues without having to remove each of them. If it does not, please contact the IT Service center at x4544 for further assistance. We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.
04/10/2017At 4:35 PM today, the Faculty/Staff Print Server (Krypton) had to rebooted to correct an issue with printing. As of 4:45, the server was back online and fuunctioning as expected. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
04/10/2017UPDATE - Maintenance has been completed, and the Virtual Desktop Hosts are back online. Thank you again for your patience.   On Monday, April 10th, from 9 PM until aproximately 10:00 PM, ITS will be performing maintenance on one of the Virtual Desktop Hosts.  The host server will down during this time, but there should not be any outages or disruptions of service during this time.  We will update the notice when completed.  We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.
