02/16/2014 DegreeWorks database process ran out of space at approximately 12:45pm. The space issue was resolved and services were restored at 2:24pm.
02/13/2014 The main Truman web server will be restarted at about 9:30 p.m. on 2/13/2014. This restart is scheduled during our weekly maintenance window. The outage should only be a few minutes.
02/13/2014 A code update will be pushed to the AV Stats Application. The update will bring the application inline with the current state of the framework it has been developed with. The page layout of the application's pages will significantly change. In addition, data retrieval performance has been improved.
02/13/2014 A code update will be pushed to the Campus Visit Request Application. The update will not modify the function of the system. It provides an improved structure that will simplify the management of the code.
02/03/2014 The maintenance work on the Banner forms server maintenance is complete. Banner forms services are now available.
02/03/2014 Tonight at 10:00PM the Faculty/Staff email system will be unavailable for ten to fifteen minutes for emergency maintenance. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
01/31/2014 Continues issues with Banner forms server and trying to get the test forms service in place cause the production forms to fail. Banner forms were unavailable from approximately 2:45pm until 4:30pm.
01/31/2014 We restarted the Banner Forms server at 8:30am on Friday, January 31st, to complete some maintenance work for the Banner upgrade. Following the restart Banner Forms failed to start. We resolved the environmental variable issue that cause the failure and restored services by 9:30am.
01/28/2014 Faculty/Staff e-mail was unavailable from 3:12PM to 3:18PM this afternoon due to a software fault.
01/31/2014 We have received the following notice from MORENet, the primary internet service provider for the University:

Bluebird Network technicians will be performing maintenance on Friday, January 31st between 12:01 and 5am. The University will experience 3-10 minute internet outages during this maintenance window.

We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for your patience.

01/25/2014 A large number of IT systems and services were unavailable this afternoon from 3:15PM to 5:45PM due to equipment failure.

As of 5:45PM all services are available with the exception of Blackboard.

01/25/2014 Blackboard services are now available. Following the SAN failure there was an file system error and recovery required on the Blackboard application server. This has been successfully completed.

Blackboard services are currently not available. They have been down since approximately 3:15pm following the storage system Blackboard and a number of other systems run on suffering a disk failure. Technicians resolved the storage system and are now currently working on restoring Blackboard services.

01/22/2014 The University primary internet connection through MORENet was intermittently unavailable from 10:15AM to 11:15AM.

The root cause of the outages was traced to Bluebird Communications, the fiber optic service provider for MORENet, who encountered several power outages in their Kirksville central office. These power outages have been reported as resolved and the University internet connection is fully functional and available.

01/20/2014 A new file will be pushed to each Chumby and subsequently the Chumby will be rebooted. The new file will update the color of the shutdown button to red and set a maximum display time of two minutes on teh loading overlay (hourglass).
01/14/2014 At 5:17 PM today, the main Truman fileserver, which hosts the Faculty/Staff and Student W and Y drives, shutdown unexpectedly. ITS is aware of the shutdown, and is looking into the cause. Service was fully restored at 5:21 PM. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.
01/14/2014 Cable TV service will be temporarily unavailable for certain buildings in the central and north part of campus due to a damaged cable. Full service should be restored in 30 to 90 minutes.
01/11/2014 Faculty/Staff email was unavailable for a period of time this evening. Full service is now restored.
01/09/2014 OTRS will be down shortly to update it to patch 3.2.13.
01/08/2014 ITS Services will be updating the Chumbys'software on 1/8/2014 @ 3:00 PM. The updates may take up to 2 hours and some Chumbys may be unavailable for a short duration of that time. Classrooms affected include all classrooms containing a Chumby.
01/02/2014 ITS Services will update the WordPress Networks during our scheduled maintenance window at around 9:00 p.m. on 1/2/2014. The maintenance should take around 30 minutes and some sites may be unavailable briefly during that time. Sites affected include Faculty and Staff personal sites on sites.truman.edu, department blogs on blogs.truman.edu, many student organization sites, the Truman Media Network at tmn.truman.edu, and the "Inside Truman" intranet at wp-internal.truman.edu.
12/30/2013 Update: The Blackboard upgrade is complete. We may need to schedule a couple of small follow up tasks that may briefly impact services later this week. If needed, we'll send out notices for these.

Blackboard will be unavailable this morning. Blackboard is being upgraded. Please plan on services not being available until approximately 11:00am today.

12/20/2013 On Friday, December 20th, starting at 4am, TouchNet, the University’s third party credit card processor, will be completing a major upgrade of Truman’s TouchNet systems. The upgrade is expected to be completed by 9:30am. The service outage includes all University hosted online payment services (UPay sites), some services/tasks that are part of daily Business Office cashiers operations, and Student Bill+Payment (http://mybill.truman.edu) which impacts all students and any authorized users (parents, guardians, etc).

This is a major upgrade that brings with it some user interface changes and functional enhancements along with additional security features to ensure our E-Commerce environment is in compliance with evolving regulations.

12/20/2013 This Thursday evening, December 19th, starting at 8:00PM technicians will be performing maintenance on the wireless network (campus wide), and the wired network for the west side of McClain Hall and the north side of Magruder Hall.

The wireless network will be unavailable campus wide from 8:00PM until 9:30PM.

The McClain Hall west network will be unavailable for five to fifteen minutes during this evening.

The Magruder Hall north network will be unavailable from 8:00PM to 11:00PM.

12/10/2013 The Exchange Faculty/Staff email system was unavailable for 10 to 15 minutes after 11AM this morning. Full service is now available.
12/09/2013 The University's secondary internet connection through Bluebird Networks will be unavailable on December 9th for fifteen minutes between 12:00AM and 5:00AM.

University internet access should be available during this time as all connections will fail over to the primary circuit.
