01/28/2018 | Saturday morning at approximately 10 am many Truman computer systems lost all network connectivity. The issue was caused by a faulty MalwareBytes software update. We have identified the computers affected and will be making repairs as quickly as possible, however each affected computer will need to be updated by an ITS technician so this will take time. We will make every effort to restore normal services to all computers as soon as possible. Thank you |

01/11/2018 | Blackboard services are being restarted at 5pm in order to put in place recommended fixes to correct post-upgrade performance issues. Services should be unavailable approximately 15-20 minutes to complete the patching and the system restart. |
01/05/2018 | The Blackboard upgrade is complete. The Blackboard system is up and available for use. ----- The Blackboard Learn course management system is scheduled for upgrade during Winter Break. It will be upgraded to the latest stable, production tested service pack: Blackboard 9.1 Q2 (second quarter) 2017. This update includes updates to the application software and a needed disk storage expansion. The upgrade will begin on Thursday, January 4th, at 6am with Blackboard being taken down for backups prior to the upgrade. Backups are expected to take approximately 2 hours and then the disk storage will be added to the system and finally the upgrade will begin. While we are hopeful it will take less time, for your planning purposes please plan for Blackboard to be unavailable until approximately 1pm. The system will be made available as soon as possible. A Service Note will be posted when Blackboard is available for use. We appreciate your patience as we continue to maintain the Blackboard system. |

Our provider will be performing maintenance on some of our phone equipment tonight at 8:00 PM. The maintenance should last no more than one hour. Phone service may be unavailable during this time. |

UPDATE--- Issues calling to Verizon numbers should be resolved. The issue was on Verizon's end while terminating incoming calls. If you have any problems, please report them to phones@truman.edu. ORIGINAL MESSAGE--- We have confirmed multiple reports of users that cannot call to various Verizon cell phone numbers using the University's phone system. We have reported this issue to our provider and they are currently working toward a resolution. |

On Thursday, November 30th at 8:00PM, ITS will be performing maintenance on the wireless network. During this time the wireless network may be unavailable campus wide for up to two hours. |
12/01/2017 | On Thursday, November 30th, at 10:00PM the University e-mail system will be undergoing maintenance for fifteen minutes. No outage is expected. |
11/22/2017 | The University's internet service provider will be performing maintenance on one of the internet connections on Tuesday, November 21st, from 8PM to 9PM. No outage is expected at this time. |
11/17/2017 | Tonight at 8PM, during the regularly scheduled ITS Maintenance window, phone service will be unavailable for the second floor of the Student Union Building. Full service should be restored by 10PM. |
11/14/2017 | From about 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. some users were receiving Not Found errors in TruView. This was caused by an issue with the database server which has been resolved. |

The ISP has been contacted and is working on repairs. The remaining Internet connection is functional but is overloaded. Internet access will be slow until the ISP completes repairs. Thank you |

09/29/2017 | The Google Search Appliance will be updated at approximately 9:30 pm on 9/28/2017 during the weekly maintenance window. This system powers the site search for www.truman.edu and wp-internal.truman.edu. The actual amount of downtime is unknown at this time. |

09/18/2017 | Update: Upgrade is complete - Banner and all Banner integrated services are now available. -- Banner service outage: Banner upgrade scheduled for Sunday, September 17th - The Banner system is scheduled for an upgrade this weekend. Banner and all Banner integrated, dependent services including the Banner links in TruView will be unavailable starting at 4am Sunday morning, September 17th, and will remain down until the completion of the upgrade. We ask campus to plan for the upgrade to take until Sunday evening, September 17th. This upgrade is part of the multiyear, campus-wide initiative to complete the upgrade of our Banner environment to Banner 9. Banner 9 includes a modern user, interface, enhanced navigation and new functionality across the Student, Human Resources, and Finance functions. In additional, Banner 9 will run on any browser and on mobile devices. Note: This upgrade is to complete some necessary work to support updates needed for the ongoing Banner 9 upgrade project and is not the completion of the upgrade to Banner 9. 09/15/2017 | Update: Maintenance is complete and services are available ----- Banner maintenance at 5pm today (September 14, 2017) The Banner system requires a hardware repair following an equipment failure. Banner and all Banner integrated, dependent services including the Banner links in TruView will be unavailable starting at 5pm Thursday, September 14th. It is expected that the repair should be completed and all services restored by approximately 7pm. A Service Note will be sent out when the Banner system is available following completion of the hardware repair. Note: Blackboard services will not be impacted by the Banner maintenance and will be available as usual. |
