04/26/2018 | There will be maintenance done on various web servers at approximately 9:30 p.m. on 4/26/2018 during the weekly maintenance window. The CAS authentication and OTRS Help Desk Ticket systems will be restarted to update the SSL certificates. These outages should be only a few minutes. Updates will be installed on all WordPress sites. Any downtime should be brief. This includes all personal and organization sites using WordPress, blogs.truman.edu, wp-internal.truman.edu, tmn.truman.edu, and www.truman.edu. |
04/24/2018 | Banner 9 Admin Pages were unavailable from 5:00am to 8:25am. We have resolved the source of this service disruption. |
04/19/2018 | TruView was unavailable from approximately 12:25 pm to 1:00 pm on 4/19/2018. All services have been restored. |
04/17/2018 | At approximately 4:00 PM today, users reported issues with connecting to sites on the Internet. (Google Drive, online testing, etc) The issue was deteremined to be with the MoreNET Internet connection. MoreNET Support was contacted , and the issue was fully resolved as of 5:00 PM. All services should be online and functioning as expected. We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. |
04/11/2018 | *UPDATE* - As of 10:00 today, all services have been restored, and are available. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thnk you for your patience. We are currently experiencing multiple IT service outages (network drives, email, web sites etc). We have identified the cause of the issue and will restore normal services as soon as possible. |
04/05/2018 | One of the web servers will be restarted at 9:30 p.m. on 4/5/2018. Sites affected include: www.truman.edu apps.truman.edu api.truman.edu trucampaigns.truman.edu The outage should be fairly brief. |
04/12/2018 | SAFARI BROWSER (ver 11.1) may fail to upload Blackboard assignment submissions or instructor content. If this happens, we suggest using Firefox or Chrome to upload documents at this time. |
04/08/2018 | The MySQL database server will be migrated to a new system on Sunday. During the migration data will be able to be read from the system but not written to it. Once the migration is complete normal operation will resume, using the new system. |

03/26/2018 | Blackboard services are being restarted to recover from a system failure. Services should be recovered in the next 10 to 20 minutes. We are researching the source of the failure. |
03/23/2018 | Update: The maintenance work has been completed and all Banner services should now be available. --- Banner and all Banner integrated services will be unavailable starting at noon today. We have an issue following last night’s upgrade that must be addressed. Plan for Banner services to be unavailable for approximately an hour and a half. We will restore services as soon as possible. All Banner integrated services include the Banner links in TruView. Blackboard will not be impacted by this service work. |
03/22/2018 | UPDATE - As of 9:58 PM, all Student Printing services are online and funtioning. We aplogize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. At 9:00 PM tonight (Thursday, March 22nd) ITS will be performing maintenance on the Student Printing system. This maintenance will take about 1 hour, but may be done earlier. During this time, Student printers will intermittently be unavailable. ITS will post an update when maintenance has been completed. We apologize for any inconvenience and thnk you for your patience. |
03/22/2018 | Maintenance has been completed and Banner and all Banner related services are available. **************original message******** Banner and all Banner integrated services including the Banner links in TruView will be taken down at 5pm on Thursday, March 22nd. This service outage is needed to complete maintenance work on the Banner servers. We expect the Banner service outage will be approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours. We will update the service note when the services have been restored. |
03/21/2018 | The maintenance work scheduled for 8am this morning ran into issues and could not be completed. It has been rescheduled for 5pm today, Wednesday, March 21st. It should take approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours to complete the maintenance work and restore services. |
03/21/2018 | Correction - the service note posted just befor 8am was supposed to be for DegreeWorks. DegreeWorks services will be unavailable at 8am today for a maintenance restart. Services should be restored around 9am. Blackboard is available - no disruption of service this morning. |

02/25/2018 | Update - The Banner upgrade is complete and all Banner services including links in TruView are now available. ---- Banner services and all Banner services (TruView links) unavailable Feb 24th-25th Banner Upgrade The Banner system is scheduled for an upgrade this weekend. Banner and all Banner integrated, dependent services including the Banner links in TruView will be unavailable starting at 4am Saturday morning, February 24th, and will remain down until the completion of the upgrade. It is expected that the upgrade will be completed late on Saturday but we ask campus to plan for the upgrade to take until Sunday evening, February 25th. A Service Note will be sent out when the Banner system is available following completion of the upgrade. Note: Blackboard services will not be impacted by the Banner upgrade and will be available as usual. |

02/07/2018 | The University's internet service provider will be performing emergency maintenance tonight from midnight until 5AM. No outage is expected but performance and available bandwidth may be affected for the duration of the maintenance. |
02/03/2018 | Banner and all Banner related services (including TruView links) are now available. At just after 11am this morning, the server which runs our core Banner environment including the database and application suffered a critical hardware failure. It will not be operational until the failed part is replaced. IBM is in the process now of retrieving the part we need and then they will be on their way here to replace it. At this time a rough estimate is that the system will not be available until near or after 5pm today. We will update this service note as we have information to share. --------- Currently Banner and all Banner links in TruView are unavilable due to a hardware error. We are working with support but do not yet have an estimated time to recovery. We will post again when we know. |
02/02/2018 | Starting at 9:00 pm tonight, ITS will be performing maintenance on the Student Printing server. This may result in a brief outage for both EveryonePrint (The student mobile printing service) and Pcounter (The main student print server). Services should be fully restored by 9:30 pm tonight. Then at 10:00PM the external DNS system and VPN will undergo maintenance. No DNS outage is expected, but the VPN will be unavailable for an hour at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience. |
