| 06/28/2018 | Tonight (6/28/2018) at approximately 9:00 pm, the website search on www.truman.edu and wp-internal.truman.edu will be switched to a new service. There should be no interruption in service, but the results will be formatted differently. |
| 06/14/2018 | The Microsoft SQL Database server will be upgraded at approximately 9:30 pm on 6/14/2018 during the weekly IT Maintenance Window. Many websites and web applications will be unavailable or may display errors during the upgrade. |
| 06/07/2018 | The WordPress networks (blogs.truman.edu, sites.truman.edu, wp-internal.truman.edu, tmn.truman.edu, and dh.truman.edu) will be switched to a new server at approximately 9:30 pm on 6/7/2018. There should not be any downtime. There is a small chance that some specific features may not work with the new software, but we will address those issues as they are found. |
| 05/31/2018 | Blackboard services were unavailable from approximately 5:00am to 8:25am due to a space issue. All services should now be available. |
| 05/22/2018 | Banner services were unavailable from approximately 4:35pm to 4:50pm due to a file system running out of space. All services resumed once the space issue was addressed. |
| 05/18/2018 | Update: The Blackboard upgrade is complete and services are available. ------------------------- The Blackboard Learn course management system is scheduled for upgrade during May Interim. It will be upgraded to Blackboard 9.1 Q4 (fourth quarter) 2017. This update includes critical security updates and a number of fixes including the fix to the Safari browser upload issue. In addition, new features include: · Instructors can now more easily clean up their grade books by deleting multiple columns at once. · An open or closed padlock icon on the main course page makes it easy to see the availability of the course to students, and with one click you can quickly change the status. The upgrade will begin on Friday, May 18th, with the system remaining down following the 4am database backup in order to complete additional backups needed prior to the upgrade. While we are hopeful it will take less time, for your planning purposes please plan for Blackboard to be unavailable until approximately 12pm. The system will be made available as soon as possible. A Service Note will be posted when Blackboard is available for use. We appreciate your patience as we continue to maintain the Blackboard system. |
| 05/17/2018 | We are restarting Blackboard to resolve an issue we are experiencing that is causing disruptions to Blackboard services. Blackboard services should be restored in approximately 15-20 minutes (around 10:30-10:35am). |

| 05/11/2018 | TruView Banner Self Service links are now working. Services were unavailable for a short while due to a SSL certificate issue on the TruView port for Self-Service Banner. |

| 04/26/2018 | There will be maintenance done on various web servers at approximately 9:30 p.m. on 4/26/2018 during the weekly maintenance window. The CAS authentication and OTRS Help Desk Ticket systems will be restarted to update the SSL certificates. These outages should be only a few minutes. Updates will be installed on all WordPress sites. Any downtime should be brief. This includes all personal and organization sites using WordPress, blogs.truman.edu, wp-internal.truman.edu, tmn.truman.edu, and www.truman.edu. |

| 04/19/2018 | TruView was unavailable from approximately 12:25 pm to 1:00 pm on 4/19/2018. All services have been restored. |
| 04/17/2018 | At approximately 4:00 PM today, users reported issues with connecting to sites on the Internet. (Google Drive, online testing, etc) The issue was deteremined to be with the MoreNET Internet connection. MoreNET Support was contacted , and the issue was fully resolved as of 5:00 PM. All services should be online and functioning as expected. We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. |
| 04/11/2018 | *UPDATE* - As of 10:00 today, all services have been restored, and are available. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thnk you for your patience. We are currently experiencing multiple IT service outages (network drives, email, web sites etc). We have identified the cause of the issue and will restore normal services as soon as possible. |

| 04/12/2018 | SAFARI BROWSER (ver 11.1) may fail to upload Blackboard assignment submissions or instructor content. If this happens, we suggest using Firefox or Chrome to upload documents at this time. |
| 04/08/2018 | The MySQL database server will be migrated to a new system on Sunday. During the migration data will be able to be read from the system but not written to it. Once the migration is complete normal operation will resume, using the new system. |

| 03/23/2018 | Update: The maintenance work has been completed and all Banner services should now be available. --- Banner and all Banner integrated services will be unavailable starting at noon today. We have an issue following last night’s upgrade that must be addressed. Plan for Banner services to be unavailable for approximately an hour and a half. We will restore services as soon as possible. All Banner integrated services include the Banner links in TruView. Blackboard will not be impacted by this service work. |
