Banner upgrade is complete. Banner and all Banner services are now available. ------ Banner Upgrade: The Banner system is scheduled for a major upgrade this weekend. Banner and all Banner integrated, dependent services including the Banner links in TruView will be unavailable starting at 4am Sunday morning, February 24th, and will remain down until the completion of the upgrade. Please plan for Banner services to be unavailable until Sunday evening, February 24th. A Service Note will be sent out when the Banner system is available following completion of the upgrade. Note: Blackboard services will not be impacted by the Banner upgrade and will be available as usual. |

UPDATE - As of 9:00 am today, Socket has resolved the issue with the Long Distance Authorization Codes taking up to 45 seconds to be accepted. Several test calls placed by ITS, and a Staff member having the issues previously, were all preocessed in a normal amount of time. (Less than 5 seconds) We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.
When dialing long distance from on campus and entering your long distance auth code the code will take up to 45 seconds to be procesed. If you stay on the line the code should be accepted and the call will be placed. This issue has been reported to our telecom provider and we will update the service note with more information. |

*UPDATE* - As of 4:00 pm today, all campus telephone service have been restored and are functioning as expected. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.
At approximately 10:30 am today, all Truman campus phones are having issues with calling external numbers. All internal extension are reciveing call, and it appears all external incoming calls are working. ITS is aware of the issue, and is working with our telecom provider Soket on resolving the issue. There is currently no estimated time to resolution, but ITS will post an update when one is available. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. |

Currently, any off-campus people using AT&T landline phone numbers are receiving a busy signal when attempting to call any Truman on-campus numbers. This is an issue with AT&T, and they are aware and are working on the issue. There is no estinated time to resolution, but we will post an update when the issue is resolved. At approximately 9:00 tonight, the Faculty/Staff email system will be offline for maintenance. This may result in email being offline for short periods of time. Once done, all email services will be back online and accessible, and an update to this service note will be posted. The process will take up to 2 hours to complete. Update -- The problem with limited virtual desktops has been resolved. We are currently experiencing a problem with only a limited number of virtual desktops being available. Technicians are working on the issue and full services will be restored as soon as possible. |

Update: Banner and Banner related services are now available. We run into issues with the upgrade and had to revert back to our original version. We will need to reschedule this maintenance upgrade. ------ Thursday, January 3rd, at 5pm, Banner and all Banner related services will be unavailable to enable us to complete maintenance work on the Banner database and application server as part of the bigger project to move to a new server. Banner will be shutdown beginning at 5pm. Please close out of all Banner services by 5pm. |

UPDATE: The Blackboard 9.1 Q2 2018 upgrade is complete and all Blackboard services should now be available. ------- The Blackboard Learn course management system is scheduled for upgrade on January 3rd with Blackboard services being unavailable beginning at 6am. It will be upgraded to the latest stable, production tested service pack: Blackboard 9.1 Q2 (second quarter) 2018. As always, we will do our best to minimize the downtime of this critical system. For planning purposes, please plan for Blackboard to be unavailable for the morning. A Service Note will be posted when Blackboard is available for use. The issue preventing access to Banner services and DegreeWorks services has been resolved and all services are now available. --- We are currently working to identify the issue that is causing communication errors when connecting to Banner and all Banner services including Self Service links in TruView and all DegreeWorks services. We will update you when we have more information. At this time Blackboard services are not affected and all Blackboard services are available.

Tonight, at 10PM, ITS will be temporarily shutting down secondary internet connection in preperation for a bandwidth upgrade on the 19th. Also at this time, there will be an emergency disk upgrade on a domain controller. No outage is expected at this time. |

Update: After applying a vendor patch DegreeWorks has been available for the last 30-45 minutes w/o interpution. We will continue to monitor performance/availability. ------------------------------ Original: DegreeWorks services for both student and fac/staff have been down multiple times today. We are working with the vendor to track the source issue. The system may become available for short periods and then fail again while solutions are being tested. |
