An update is needed for the Ivanti Agents on computers. This update will take place starting 1/6/21. Users will need to reboot their computers after the upgrade at their earliest convenience. You will be able to postpone the restart up to 8 days if needed.

Update: The issue with the Blackboard link/button not working in TruView has been resolved. ------------ The Blackboard link/button in TruView is currently returning a ‘Not Found’ error. We suspect it may be a post upgrade related issue. Until we resolve this issue, please use the direct method of accessing Blackboard by either clicking on this link: https://blackboard.truman.edu/ or typing the url ‘https://blackboard.truman.edu’ into your browser of choice. We appreciate your patience as we work to maintain the University systems.

We believe we have resolved the post upgrade issues with DegreeWorks. Services are available. ------- Update: DegreeWorks services continue to not be reliable and consistently functioning following the upgrade. We continue to work with Ellucian support. This is a high priority issue and we will resovle it as quickly as possible. ------- DegreeWorks will be unavailable on Tuesday, December 29th, to complete a required upgrade. The Service Note will be updated when the upgrade is complete. Please plan for the system to be unvailable for the day. |

Blackboard Upgrade Update: The Blackboard upgrade is complete and services are available. ----- Blackboard Upgrade The upgrade will begin with the normal 4am shutdown of the system for backups on Monday, December 28. Campus should plan for the Blackboard system to be unavailable for the whole day. The database upgrade, application upgrade, and addition of disk space will all take some time to complete. We will update the Service Note when the system is available. We appreciate your patience as we work to keep this critical system up-to-date. |

Multiple services were unavailable due to network infrastructure issues resulting in the inability to connect to the systems. The systems impacted include Banner and DegreeWorks. The outage from from approximate 7:05pm to 8:45pm. |

Update: As of 8:30, DegreeWorks services are available. All services should be back to normal operation. ---- Update: As of approximately 7:20am, Banner services are available. We are still working with restoring DegreeWorks services. ----- Banner and DegreeWorks are currently not availble for access. We are working to track down the source of the issue. We will provide an update when we know more. |

***UPDATE*** This issue has been resolved. There are a small number of analog phone lines not working this morning, primarily affecting Violette Hall and Ophelia Parrish. We're currently working to restore service on these phone lines. |

At approximately 4:00 PM today,, users reporte to ITS issue with sending emails to their Gmail accounts. The message recieved is as follows: The e-mail address you entered couldn't be found. Please check the recipient's e-mail address and try to resend the message. If the problem continues, please contact your helpdesk. The following organization rejected your message: gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com. The issue is with an outage at Google, and does not affect email coming into a Truman email address, and does not affect sending to other email providers, such as Microsoft email addresses. An update will be posted when the issue has been resolved. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. |

*UPDATE* Users are reporting that they are able to once again connect to Truman websites and services from off campus. Issue appears to have been with Sparklight. If you were not able to connect before, please try again. If you cannot connect, please contact the IT Service Center at 660-785-4544, and they will be able to assist you. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.
*UPDATE* It appears that all of the users reporting issues with accessing Truman websites and services off campus are Sparklight (Formerly CableOne) customers. Once we have more information, we will post an upadte. Thank you again for your continued patience.

***UPDATE*** This maintenance has been completed ITS will be performing network maintenance in the Health Science Building beginning at 10 pm on Thursday, Dec 3rd. Wired, wireless, and phone connectivity in this building will be affected while the maintenance is carried out. The estimated time of completion is four hours and this post will be updated once the maintenance is complete. This work will also briefly affect Barnett Hall, Pershing Building, General Services, Adair Building, Ryle Hall, Campbell Apartments, Stokes Stadium, and Patterson House. |

Update on 12/4/2020 As of this morning the EMS upgrade is complete. There is an issue with the Desktop installation that requires a manual intervention prior to the installation of the new client. Instructions have been completed and are being distributed and Bill is working with individuals that need assistance. ------ Update on 12/3/2020 4:55PM After sporadic assistance from the EMS vendor, the web application (EMSpro.truman.edu) for EMS is operational and available for use. The Desktop application is down with a new error. We will continue to work with the vendor on a resolution. ------ 12/2/2020 4:47PM This is an update on the upgrade. We have run into some issues and we are presently working with support. Please plan on EMS being down to continue into Thursday, 12/3/2020. We will provide an update tomorrow once we know more. We appreciate your continued patience as we work to complete this upgrade. ------ EMS and Virtual EMS to manage and view classroom and departmental room reservations is down for upgrade on 12/2. Please plan for this to be down most of the day. We will work to minimize the downtime as much as possible. An update to this service note will be sent out when the upgrade is complete. |

*UPDATE* - The maintenance has been completed, and printing services are online again. If you have any issues with printing,please reboot your computer. This work will be performed starting around 3:00 am, and should be done by 4:30 am 11-13-2020. There may be an outage associated with this maintenance. The Banner upgrade is complete. Services are available. ------------ The Banner system is scheduled for a major upgrade this Sunday, October 18th. Banner and all Banner integrated, dependent services including the Banner links in TruView will be unavailable starting at 4am Sunday morning, October 18th, and will remain down until the completion of the upgrade. Please plan for Banner services to be unavailable all day. |

At approximately 4:00 pm today, ITS was made aware of an issue with accessing Truman.edu websites from off campus. Users are reporting that they recieve a "Site not accessible - 500" error when attempting to access Truman.edu, and exchange.truman.edu. ITS is working to restore access, and will update this Service Note when restored. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. |
