| 09/13/2011 | We need to make a patch to Blackboard at 11:50am today which will require Blackboard services to be stopped. We’ve identified a fix that we believe will help resolve the sporadic service disruptions Blackboard has been experiencing the last couple of weeks.
We expect services to be restored within approximately 10 minutes. We apologize for the inconvenience. |
| 09/09/2011 | On August 25th, we notified you that there were several problems encountered with the classroom and public lab systems. These problems were mainly associated with Adobe PDF and Microsoft 2010 documents not consistently launching from web browsers. At that time, we provided a short-term solution while we continued to work on fixing the root cause of the problem.
We have identified a solution that appears to correct the primary issues. On Wednesday morning we were able to correct all of the public lab computers as well as student workstations in computer classrooms. Over the next several days, we will attempt to correct all of the teaching stations in the classrooms and hope to have these updates completed by Monday morning (updating classroom consoles is a bit more complicated as we have to minimize disruption to classes that are in session). The student computers in VH1432 and MG2005 will be upgraded before Monday as well. Thank you for your patience during this time. | 09/08/2011 | Blackboard is experiencing a performance issue and services are being restarted to resolve the problem. Blackboard services should be restored by approximately 5:25pm. |
| 09/08/2011 | Fair Apartments and Stokes Stadium networks will be offline for maintenance the morning of September 8th starting at 7:30AM. This maintenance work will last less then one hour and an updated Service Note will be posted when all services are restored. |
| 08/30/2011 | A University database server rebooted at 4:45PM causing a temporary outage for University websites and other services. Full service was restored at 4:55PM. |

| 08/29/2011 | Blackboard services hung around 11:30am. Services were restarted and available by 11:50am. Investigation into the cause of the service distruption is in progress. |
| 09/02/2011 | There is a problem in the computer classrooms and labs if you try to open a document directly from a web page (like when in Blackboard). As a temporary solution first download the document and then open it. We are working to resolve the problem as soon as possible. Thank you. |
| 08/30/2011 | Cable station MTUVu is offline due to Hurricane Irene. MTVu programming should be back on the University cable system by the end of August 29th. |
| 08/24/2011 | Update - Internet access was restored at approximately 5:20 PM. A fiber cable was cut between Kirksville and Kansas City. MOREnet has temporarily rerouted our Internet service on an alternate path.
------ At approximately 5:05 PM today, the Internet for the entire Campus went offline. Service was restored as of 5:20 PM. We appologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. |
| 08/24/2011 | The problem with warning messages on MS Office 2010 has been resolved.
Thank you. --- If you are using Microsoft Office 2010, Microsoft Project 2010 or Microsoft Visio 2010 on a Truman owned computer system you may receive a pop-up box and a red line at the top of your screen warning you that the Microsoft product has not been activated. Please ignore the warning. The Microsoft software will work normally. Close the pop-up warning box and continue with your work as usual. There is an issue with our Microsoft licensing. We are working with Microsoft to resolve the problem as soon as possible. Thank you. |

| 08/12/2011 | The primary DNS server rebooted and name resolution was unavailable for five minutes. Full services should now be restored. |

| 08/05/2011 | At 3:30PM this afternoon an issue occurred with DNS that prevented some services from being accessed. The issue has now been corrected and technicians are checking on the root cause. |
| 08/05/2011 | The SPSS license manager is now active. Anyone not running SPSS version 19 will need to have their system upgraded to the newer version. Please call the Service Desk to schedule an appointment. |
| 08/01/2011 | Banner was unavailable from approx. 10:15am to 10:35am today. An upgrade script inadvertently altered system privileges and kept users from accessing Banner forms. The privileges have been restored and we will continue to monitor throughout the day. |

| 08/02/2011 | UPDATE : The Mathematica license manager is once again working. Technicians are still working on the SPSS license manager.

This maintenance will take approximately 15 to 30 minutes, with service being restored by 8:30 PM. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience. |
| 07/27/2011 | At approximately 9 am this morning, the print server handling Faculty/Staff printing campus-wide was rebooted. This print server was back online at 9:07 am this morning, and print services should be fully restored at that time.
