08/24/2011 Update - Internet access was restored at approximately 5:20 PM. A fiber cable was cut between Kirksville and Kansas City. MOREnet has temporarily rerouted our Internet service on an alternate path.

At approximately 5:05 PM today, the Internet for the entire Campus went offline. Service was restored as of 5:20 PM. We appologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.

08/24/2011 The problem with warning messages on MS Office 2010 has been resolved.

If you are using Microsoft Office 2010, Microsoft Project 2010 or Microsoft Visio 2010 on a Truman owned computer system you may receive a pop-up box and a red line at the top of your screen warning you that the Microsoft product has not been activated.

Please ignore the warning. The Microsoft software will work normally. Close the pop-up warning box and continue with your work as usual.

There is an issue with our Microsoft licensing. We are working with Microsoft to resolve the problem as soon as possible. Thank you.

08/16/2011 The Ryle Hall north network will be unavailable for periods of Tuesday, August 16th, for maintenance. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for patience.
08/12/2011 The primary DNS server rebooted and name resolution was unavailable for five minutes. Full services should now be restored.
08/08/2011 The DegreeWorks upgrade is complete and all related services should are available.
08/05/2011 At 3:30PM this afternoon an issue occurred with DNS that prevented some services from being accessed. The issue has now been corrected and technicians are checking on the root cause.
08/05/2011 The SPSS license manager is now active. Anyone not running SPSS version 19 will need to have their system upgraded to the newer version. Please call the Service Desk to schedule an appointment.
08/01/2011 Banner was unavailable from approx. 10:15am to 10:35am today. An upgrade script inadvertently altered system privileges and kept users from accessing Banner forms. The privileges have been restored and we will continue to monitor throughout the day.
08/01/2011 Truman Blackberry services were briefly unavailable early this morning. Blackberry services have been restored.
08/02/2011 UPDATE : The Mathematica license manager is once again working. Technicians are still working on the SPSS license manager.

The following network license managers are currently not available: SPSS & Mathematica

This means you will be unable to run the listed software at this time. This will affect computers in the labs/classrooms and many faculty office systems. Technicians are currently working on the problem and will have it resolved as soon as possible.

07/27/2011 On Thursday, July 28th, 2011 at 8 PM, the Computer Lab Virtual Desktops will be unavailable for planned system maintenance. This maintenance will take approximately 15 to 30 minutes, with service being restored by 8:30 PM. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.
07/27/2011 At approximately 9 am this morning, the print server handling Faculty/Staff printing campus-wide was rebooted. This print server was back online at 9:07 am this morning, and print services should be fully restored at that time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and we thank you for your patience.
07/22/2011 As of 10:20 PM tonight, all maintenance on the Truman Network file server has been completed. All Faculty/Staff and Student user and network folders should be accessible. If you have any issues with this, or any other IT related issues, please contact the ITS Service Center at 660-785-4544.

07/22/2011 At 10:00 PM tonight, the Truman Network File Server will be temporarily unavailable to complete necessary maintenance. This will affect all Faculty/Staff and Student user and network folders, such as the W, Y and N drives. The maintenance should take approximately 15 to 30 minutes, and service should be restored by 10:30 pm tonight.

07/20/2011 Replacement parts for the Pershing Building network switch have arrived and have been installed. As of 2:38 PM today, the network switches were online. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
07/22/2011 We are experiencing intermittent network outages in Pershing and Health Science buildings. The failing equipment has been identified and replacement components are en route. We have taken all possible steps to maintain network services but services will be intermittent until the replacement parts arrive. We apologize for the difficulty.
07/18/2011 As of 10:15 am today, the issue with network connectivity for Pershing Building and Health Sciences has been restored. ITS Technicians replaced the defective component and restored connectivity. If you are still experiencing issues related to this, or if you have any other IT related issues, please contact the ITS Service Center @ 660-785-4544.

07/18/2011 At approximately 9:05 am this morning, the Computer Lab Virtual Desktops were unavailable due to an issue with a network Server providing services for the Student Labs. This outage lasted approximately 5 minutes and has been resolved. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
07/18/2011 As of 4:10 am this morning, there is an network outage affecting Pershing Building and Heath Sciences. All local and Internet based network connectivity is down Technicians are working on the issue and there is and no ETA for resolution. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
07/15/2011 As of 10:00 PM, all maintenance on the Computer Lab Virtual Desktops has been completed. We apologize again for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience
07/15/2011 On Friday, July 15th @ 9:00 PM, all Computer Lab desktops will be offline to allow for maintenance. This maintenance should take approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour. Once done, all systems will again be available. We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.
06/28/2011 Several IT Services including TruView, SQL Server, Virtual Desktops and Faculty/Staff email were briefly unavailable due to power issues in the University datacenter. Services have now been restored.
06/28/2011 The University internet connection through MORENet was restored at 2:15PM. The MORENet circuit relies on a local office which is without power and running on an emergency power generator. The generator failed but has now been repaired. Thank you for your patience.
06/26/2011 Blackboard had a performance issue which required a system and database restart to resolve. The initial performance error occurred just before 9:00pm. Services were restarted at 10:30pm and all services were restored by 10:45pm.
06/23/2011 This Thursday (June 23rd), during the regularly scheduled ITS maintenance window, maintenance will be performed on the University internet connection. Maintenance will begin at 8:00PM and will be completed by 8:15PM. During this time the internet connection will not be available. Thank you for your patience.
