01/05/2012 At 5:30 PM today, the server for the Virtual Desktops (Lab and Classroom systems) was rebooted to complete maintenance. The server was back online as of 5:40 PM. All Virtual Desktops should be accessible. If you have any issues related to this outage, please contact the IT Service Center at 660-785-4544.

We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.

01/05/2012 The virtual desktop server will be rebooting for maintenance today at 5:30PM. During this time virtual deskops and new logons in the labs and classrooms will be unavailable. Existing logged in users will be unaffected. Full service will be restored by 5:40PM.
01/06/2012 The General Services building network will be offline for maintenance tomorrow morning. (Friday, January 6th)

During this maintenance preselected high impact computers and systems in affected offices will be kept online. All other systems will be offline for the duration of the maintenance period.

The networking maintenance may last four to eight hours. This service note will be updated when the maintenance work is complete.

01/05/2012 Blackboard will be unavailable at 11am this morning in order to attempt a fix to the calendar. We are working with Blackboard support to resolve this issue. Blackboard should be unavailable for about 20 minutes while the maintenance work is being completed.
01/05/2012 The University Internet connection was unavailable from 6:16AM to 7:45AM this morning. The outage occurred due to an issue with MORENet, the Universities internet service provider. The issue has been corrected and full service has now been restored.
01/04/2012 Thursday morning at 9:00AM the University MySQL database server will be migrated to a new system. During this time any application accessing a MySQL database will be in read-only mode without any changes allowed for the duration of the migration. The database should be available again on the new system at 9:15AM to 9:30AM.
01/04/2012 An update will be applied to Panopto (Lecture Capture System) at 12:00 today.

Following this update recording clients will need to be updated. Viewing clients will not be affected.

Recording clients will be updated in the classrooms by the ITS Office. Recording clients installed on other systems should prompt for update the next time they are used. If the recording client does not have privileges to update please contact the ITS Service Center at x4544 and a technician will assist you in updating the recording client.

12/29/2011 Blackboard services are now available.
12/22/2011 The University Internet connection was unavailable from 1:40PM to 2:45PM this afternoon. The outage occurred due to an issue with MORENet, the Universities internet service provider. The issue has been corrected and full service has now been restored.
12/19/2011 Friday afternoon some Windows computers rebooted unexpectedly. We have determined the cause was an ATI video card driver failure probably triggered by a Microsoft software update. We have stopped the Microsoft software update and are investigating the ATI issue. We apologize for any inconvenience.
12/16/2011 A power outage at 10:38AM this morning affected network connectivity in McClain Hall, Student Union Building, Barnett Hall, Grim Hall, Magruder Hall, McKinney and West Campus Suites. Full network service was restored at 10:45AM.
12/02/2011 Technicians will be performing maintenance on the west side of West Campus Suites tomorrow morning from 7:30AM-9:30AM. There is a chance of a momentary network outage during this time. Any outage should not last more then five minutes. We appreciate your patience.
11/29/2011 The connection from TruView to Banner Self Service was unavailable from approximately 3:00 a.m. - 8:20 a.m. on 11/29/2011 due to some scheduled server restarts. All services have been restored.
11/22/2011 ITS will be performing maintenance on the Ophelia Parish network tonight after 5:00PM. This maintenance work is expected to last two to three hours and during this time network and internet access will be down for the building.

Internet access for the entire University will be unavailable for one to three minutes at the completion of the Ophelia Parish maintenance.

Finally, during this time there will also be a short network outage of up to five minutes in Magruder Hall. Thank you for your patience.

11/16/2011 At approximately 7:50 PM tonight, the PL203 LaserJet (Located in the IT Service Center) experienced a hardware failure, and was not functioning. Until the issue is resolved, all printer jobs from both Faculty/Staff and Students to the PL203 LaserJet (Duplex as well)will be temporarily print out on the Pickler Lobby LaserJet. (Located on the 1st floor of the Pickler Library)

ITS is aware of this issue, and are working towards resolving it.

11/14/2011 Blackboard was experiencing some performance issues. Services were restarted and Blackboard is working correctly now.
11/02/2011 An issue occurred with the primary University fileserver that necessitated a restart. Full service should be restored in a few minutes.
11/02/2011 Fair Apartment network was briefly unavailable due to electrical work from 11:00AM to 11:15AM. Full service has now been restored.
11/02/2011 The faculty/staff printing server was unavailable from 4:30AM to 8:20 due to a system failure. Full printing service has now been restored. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
11/01/2011 A power issue took a segment of the Barnett Hall network offline at 10:40AM. Full service has now been restored.
10/27/2011 The University internet connection was unavailable from 12:05AM to 12:30AM due to an issue with MORENet, the state network internet provider, and the fiber optic connection administered by Missouri Network Alliance. We apologize for the inconvenience.
10/27/2011 A power outage affected networking services in Ophelia Parish. Networking services were unavailable from 11:25AM to 11:30AM. Full service has now been restored.
10/24/2011 Full network service has been restored in West Campus Suites.
10/24/2011 Full network service has been restored in Barnett Hall.
10/22/2011 The Adair Building network will be offline for maintenance on Friday, October 21st, starting at 5:00PM. Full service will be restored by 9:00PM.
