|03/21/2018||The maintenance work scheduled for 8am this morning ran into issues and could not be completed. It has been rescheduled for 5pm today, Wednesday, March 21st. It should take approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours to complete the maintenance work and restore services.|

|02/25/2018||Update - The Banner upgrade is complete and all Banner services including links in TruView are now available. ---- Banner services and all Banner services (TruView links) unavailable Feb 24th-25th Banner Upgrade The Banner system is scheduled for an upgrade this weekend. Banner and all Banner integrated, dependent services including the Banner links in TruView will be unavailable starting at 4am Saturday morning, February 24th, and will remain down until the completion of the upgrade. It is expected that the upgrade will be completed late on Saturday but we ask campus to plan for the upgrade to take until Sunday evening, February 25th. A Service Note will be sent out when the Banner system is available following completion of the upgrade. Note: Blackboard services will not be impacted by the Banner upgrade and will be available as usual.|

|02/07/2018||The University's internet service provider will be performing emergency maintenance tonight from midnight until 5AM. No outage is expected but performance and available bandwidth may be affected for the duration of the maintenance.|
|02/03/2018||Banner and all Banner related services (including TruView links) are now available. At just after 11am this morning, the server which runs our core Banner environment including the database and application suffered a critical hardware failure. It will not be operational until the failed part is replaced. IBM is in the process now of retrieving the part we need and then they will be on their way here to replace it. At this time a rough estimate is that the system will not be available until near or after 5pm today. We will update this service note as we have information to share. --------- Currently Banner and all Banner links in TruView are unavilable due to a hardware error. We are working with support but do not yet have an estimated time to recovery. We will post again when we know.|
|02/02/2018||Starting at 9:00 pm tonight, ITS will be performing maintenance on the Student Printing server. This may result in a brief outage for both EveryonePrint (The student mobile printing service) and Pcounter (The main student print server). Services should be fully restored by 9:30 pm tonight. Then at 10:00PM the external DNS system and VPN will undergo maintenance. No DNS outage is expected, but the VPN will be unavailable for an hour at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.|
|01/28/2018||Saturday morning at approximately 10 am many Truman computer systems lost all network connectivity. The issue was caused by a faulty MalwareBytes software update. We have identified the computers affected and will be making repairs as quickly as possible, however each affected computer will need to be updated by an ITS technician so this will take time. We will make every effort to restore normal services to all computers as soon as possible. Thank you|

|01/11/2018||Blackboard services are being restarted at 5pm in order to put in place recommended fixes to correct post-upgrade performance issues. Services should be unavailable approximately 15-20 minutes to complete the patching and the system restart.|
|01/05/2018||The Blackboard upgrade is complete. The Blackboard system is up and available for use. ----- The Blackboard Learn course management system is scheduled for upgrade during Winter Break. It will be upgraded to the latest stable, production tested service pack: Blackboard 9.1 Q2 (second quarter) 2017. This update includes updates to the application software and a needed disk storage expansion. The upgrade will begin on Thursday, January 4th, at 6am with Blackboard being taken down for backups prior to the upgrade. Backups are expected to take approximately 2 hours and then the disk storage will be added to the system and finally the upgrade will begin. While we are hopeful it will take less time, for your planning purposes please plan for Blackboard to be unavailable until approximately 1pm. The system will be made available as soon as possible. A Service Note will be posted when Blackboard is available for use. We appreciate your patience as we continue to maintain the Blackboard system.|
Our provider will be performing maintenance on some of our phone equipment tonight at 8:00 PM. The maintenance should last no more than one hour. Phone service may be unavailable during this time.

Issues calling to Verizon numbers should be resolved. The issue was on Verizon's end while terminating incoming calls. If you have any problems, please report them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have confirmed multiple reports of users that cannot call to various Verizon cell phone numbers using the University's phone system. We have reported this issue to our provider and they are currently working toward a resolution.
On Thursday, November 30th at 8:00PM, ITS will be performing maintenance on the wireless network. During this time the wireless network may be unavailable campus wide for up to two hours.
