Using Doodle and Outlook Meetings to Schedule People

November 19, 2009 — Diane Richmond

Join us Thursday, November 19th at 2:30pm in PML 103 to learn how to more easily schedule appointments and meetings with multiple people.  Depending on your needs, a Doodle poll or an Outlook meeting may help you avoid the “please send me a list of your available times” drudgery for your next meeting!

Using Technology to Mitigate Teaching with the Flu

October 15, 2009 — Diane Richmond

Join us this Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 2:30 pm in PML 103 for the first TechBreak of the academic year.  This month’s presentation will be a follow-up to the recent TCTL Weekly Lunch session on “Teaching with the Flu”.  Diane Richmond of the Instructional Design Services (IDS) department will demonstrate options for capturing yourself, your presentation notes and/or your classroom in order to share with students who may be missing class due to illness or when you the instructor becomes ill.  Don’t miss this opportunity to learn a method that can help you keep class going even when you can’t be there.

Since this session is during mid-term break, it is hoped that there will not be timing conflicts with teaching schedules; however if you have already planned to be away from campus, the session will be captured and you may view it at a more convenient time!
