| 5/16/2012 | The Panopto server upgrade and maintenance project scheduled for this morning (5/16/2012) has been completed. The upgrade will improve the user interface of the recorder and recording management screens by providing more options, detailed progress and error messages. If you have the Panopto Recorder installed on your personal computer, device or University workstation, the next time you launch it, you will be prompted to update it. Please follow the on-screen instructions to do so. If you prefer, you may contact the IT Service Center to request assistance with this update. Please contact the Help Desk as well if you have any further questions about the Panopto upgrade. |

| 5/10/2012 | TruView was down from approximately 5:30 a.m. until 8:05 a.m. on 5/10/2012. The system failed to automatically restart following database server maintenance. |
| 5/9/2012 | Thursday evening at 8:00PM during the regularly scheduled ITS Maintenance window several IT resources will be unavailable. DHCP and DNS services will be unavailable momentarily at 8:00PM as services are transferred to a new system. Wireless connectivity will have a rolling 5 to 15 minute outage as systems are upgraded across campus. Virtual desktops (lab and classroom systems) will be unavailable for 10 to 20 minutes. The personal web server will enter the first phase of shutdown. Student websites will be offline and faculty/staff websites will be read only until they can be migrated to a new system. A copy of the website is stored in a "T-Drive" folder in each user's Y: drive. |
| 5/3/2012 | We have identified a issue where a student could receive a "out of disk space" message when they logon to the virtual desktop system. We have identified the cause of the problem and are correcting it. Thank you. |
| 4/27/2012 | UPDATE: The Truman Voicemail has been repaired. A defective card at the AT&T Central Office was replaced last night. All voicemail should now be restored. If you are still experiencing voicemail issues, please contact the IT Service Center at x4544. We are currently experiencing issues with the campus voicemail system. Our technicians are working with the vendor to restore normal services as soon as possible. When you call the Truman voicemail system you can reach voicemail by entering the seven digit campus phone number. |
| 4/25/2012 | The MySQL server will be restarted at approximately 10 p.m. on Thursday, 4/26/2012. The outage should only last a few minutes. Affected services include: Truman Master Calendar, WordPress (blogs.truman.edu, sites.truman.edu), and other non-critical websites. This restart is scheduled during the weekly IT Maintenance window. |

| 4/23/2012 | DegreeWorks will be down for server maintenance on Monday, April 23. Services will be unavailable following the 3am backup and are estimated to take all day. An email announcement will go out when DegreeWorks is once again available for use. |

As part of that work, the Banner Forms server and the Banner Self-Service server will be unavailable. Access to Banner Forms and all Banner Self-Service services (accessed through links in TruView) will be unavailable from 7am to approximately 8am. |
| 4/12/2012 | The east section of the McClain Hall Network will be offline for maintenance this Saturday, April 14th, from 7:00AM to 4:00PM. During this time access to the wired and wireless network on the east side of the building will be unavailable. Network service will be available to the west side of the building. All servers and services (TruView, E-Mail, Internet Access) will be available to the rest of campus during this time. |

| 4/4/2012 | The University internet service is having difficulties to an issue with our internet service provider. The issue has been reported and will be addressed as soon as possible. The connection may be intermittent until the issue is resolved. |

| 3/30/2012 | The power unit that protects several servers in the Data Center experiencing problems and is being looked at. It is possible that some systems, including Banner, may be taken down in the next few minutes while the problem is investigated. |
| 3/30/2012 | Due to a failure with one of the main UPSs in the Data Center, Banner and all Banner integrated services that require the Banner system including the banner links in TruView and DegreeWorks are currently down. The electricians are in the process of completing wiring updates to allow us to transition from the failed UPS to another main UPS. It is expected that it will take approximately two hours to complete the work. Updates will be provided when additional information is available. |

| 3/21/2012 | UPDATE - Another outage occurred from 1:18PM to 1:24PM this afternoon. We have reported this to our service provider. Internet services are back online as of 9:15AM. The outage was caused by a configuration issue with MNA who is the network provider for MORENet. |
