IT Services at Truman State University cannot arrange directly for students and staff to purchase personal computers but we do provide the following information:

IBM provides 24 hour telephone service at the above number. An operator will come on the line to tell you how to establish eligibility for an educational discount. Some price information is available but be prepared to do some research on your own regarding models and peripherals which you are interested in purchasing.

For financing the computer purchase the following information could be of help:

The Truman State University Foundation will assist students with loans for the purchase of computers, printers and related software. The maximum loan is $2000.00 at 5% simple interest. The promissory note must be co-signed by parents. Application forms and more information about qualifying for the loan are available by calling the Financial Aid Office at 785-4130.
