ITS and Truman Faculty are planning and creating the Lab/Classroom computer software image for the 2009-2010 academic year. If you have software that you would like to see included on the new lab/classroom image that is not already in the image software list available below then please send email to Mike Rechtien (michrech@truman.edu) with the following information:- Title of softwares
- Version
- Number of licenses
- Company information
INFORMATION ABOUT THE 2009-2010 LAB/CLASSROOM IMAGEOperating System
The Operating System for the 2009-2010 academic year will be Microsoft Windows XP Professional.
Office Suites included
Office 2007 Professional: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, Project, and Visio.
OpenOffice.org 3.1: Base, Calc, Draw, Impress, Math, and Writer.
"RENEWING" SOFTWARE REQUESTS
If ITS included software on the 2008-2009 image as a result of a request, the request does not have to be submitted again this year, but if you no longer need the software or do not want to renew the license, please inform ITS so we do not include it on the 2009-2010 image. ITS will be working with your division contact to verify requests for academic software that will be included on the image.
You may need to re-purchase the software or renew/update the license for the product. ITS will assist you in determining the appropriate action. When licensing the product, make sure you order the site license if it will be installed in the labs and classrooms. More information about licenses can be found in our FAQ.
