Mac or PC?

The answer is: It depends. However, if you’re not a very tech-savvy person, you might find the facts below useful.
Cost
Usually a Mac is more expensive than a PC. Be ready to pay a grand for a Macbook, but for a PC you can buy a netbook or laptop for as little as one-third of that, or in other words, you can buy several laptops for the price of a Mac. However, when it comes to high-end PCs and laptops, it isn’t true anymore. However, it’s still fair to say for the same amount of money paid, a PC is more far more powerful.
Stability & Ease of Use
This is highly subjective. For some people, Mac and Windows are equally easy to use, some find Windows easier to use. However, although Windows was improved a lot and is fairly stable now, it was known for instability and is always a target for spywares and viruses, due to its nature. Be ready to protect yourself from viruses and spywares if you choose Windows! But don’t be too worried, you can download a premium antivirus software package for free once you have your Truman ID. With Mac, viruses and spywares are far more rare. However, nothing can protect you from them but a good practice.
Avaibility of Software
With Windows, there are millions of applications, free and non-free. With Mac, your choices are more limited.
However, unless you need to do something really specific, almost everything you can do on Windows, you can do it on Mac. For your information, Mac has Microsoft Office and Firefox for you to edit your papers and surf the web, just like Windows!
Design and user experience

Macs win big in here, it looks sleek and performs just fine. A PC is like a big chunk of components and wires. However, that makes a PC far more customizable, and a a PC will accept virtually anything you plug to it. A PC is also very easy to replace and upgrade as well. That difference still holds true for a macbook and a laptop: not anything will work with a macbook, but almost everything you can buy in a computer shop will work with your laptop. Competitiveness makes the components that are made for PC much cheaper as well.
Familiarity
If you choose to have a Mac, you have to learn how to do stuff the Mac way. Windows is more familiar for most of us. There are more chances you can find the answers to your problems with Windows as well. And Truman supports both Mac and Windows (and Linux) users!
