Your personal computer should automate connection upon connecting an *ethernet cord between an *access port found on the Truman State campus and the computer, however, if local ip settings have been changed to accommodate personal internet at home, please do the following:
Select System Preferences… from the Apple Menu. Click on Network. Set Configure to “Built-in Ethernet” click on the “TCP/IP” tab. Then set the lower Configure selector to “Using DHCP” and enter “truman.edu” in the Search Domains box. Click on Show All, and then click on Sharing, in the Computer Name: box, enter your computer name as described here You must set your computer name correctly, or your computer will be disconnected from the network.
