Printer Accounting System

Network printers are provided for student use in most computer classrooms, computer labs and residence halls.  Printing to these printers is managed with a Printer Accounting System. 

Students are given $25 in electronic printing funds at the beginning of each semester.  Effective January 1st 2008 most small labs no longer use banner cover sheets.  Banner cover sheets are still used in the large labs (PL312 and VH2000) due to the large print volume.

Black and white laser prints are 10 cents per page.  Color laser prints are 50 cents per page.  You can reduce your printing costs and be more environmentally friendly by printing duplex.  Duplex pages are 7 cents per page.  To receive the discounted duplex printing rate print your document to a TP1 print queue marked as "Duplex Print". 

Any unused electronic printing funds will carry over from semester to semester until ~ August 20th.  Before the start of the fall semester all student print accounts are reset to $25.  There are no refunds for any unused electronic printing funds.  Printing funds may not be transfered from one student to another student.  You may check on your electronic printing balance by clicking here.

Additional printing funds may be purchased from the Cashier's Office in McClain Hall or online.
