Request for Confidential Information from the Student Information System at Truman State University
The following page will give you all the information needed for you to request Confidential Information from Truman State University Student Information System. To request confidential information from the student information system, the requester would need to complete the Data Request Form (Adobe PDF Format). Information Technology Services would review the request, if the request is a standard request, then the form is processed and the requester would receive the information he/she asked for.
If the request in a non-standard request, Information Technology Services would send an email to the requester informing him/her that their request is sent to the Data Management Chair for review to insure that the request meets FERPA, Sunshine Laws and any other applicable laws, as well as IRB & assessment rules and guidelines. If the request gets approved by the data management chair, then Information Technology Services would process the request and the requester would receive the information he/she asked for.
If the data management chair does not approve the request due to any rules or regulations, the Chair would notify the requester that the data management committee would need to evaluate his/her request and may ask for additional information before the decision of approving the request is taken. If after the committee’s evaluation the request gets approved, then Information Technology Services would process the request and the requester would receive the information he/she asked for. However, if the request is denied, then the chair of the data management committee will notify the requester.
